A Comfortable Stay with Excellent Breakfast and Service

Hotel Sayaji Raipur enjoys a good location, close to the heart of the city. The property itself is attractive, with a nice-looking building, ample open space and well-maintained lawns in front. There is also plenty of parking, which is a definite advantage.
The hotel offers good facilities, including a multi-cuisine restaurant, bar, coffee shop, poolside bar & restaurant, swimming pool and a small but functional gym. Check-in and check-out were fast & efficient, and the housekeeping service was good. The staff were polite, courteous and helpful.
The buffet breakfast deserves special mention. It is very good, with an excellent selection of desserts. A unique and particularly welcome feature is the availability of fish as part of the breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings, something not commonly found in hotels and certainly appreciated by seafood lovers.
The food is predominantly Indian in style and tends to be oily & spicy. While the Indian options are good, I would have preferred a wider choice of continental dishes and more options that are lighter and less spicy.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed. However, the bathroom in my room felt somewhat cramped and the toilet flush was not functioning properly. The toiletries, on the other hand, were of good quality.
It would be helpful if the locations of the restaurant, bar, pool and gym were clearly indicated in the lobby and near the lifts. This would make it much easier for first-time visitors to find these facilities without having to ask the staff.
Overall, Hotel Sayaji Raipur is a good hotel for a comfortable stay, with professional service, good facilities and an especially impressive breakfast. With some improvement in the bathrooms and a more varied, lighter food selection, it could offer an even better experience.
