Best hotel in kalka

Nice rooms and toilets. Located just 1 min drive away from kalka station. They also arranged a car for our Himachal trip. You can find restaurants and other shops around the hotel. The manager is very helpful but a weird person. But the owner was a very good person.

Checked into the hotel and immediately checked out. Room was dirty. Bathroom was dirty. Bed didn’t have clean sheets. When asked for different sheets was just brought a different used sheet. Would suggest staying elsewhere.

Poor, but still seemed the best option in Kalka

We tried most of the hotels in Kalka, looking for something decent and had to settle for Dharam Villa. You can't expect very much for these prices, and like most cheap Indian hotels (R1020 via Agoda or R1200 in person!) rooms are very basic, windows don't fully close, electrics erratic, not very clean etc. But there was hot water, no observable insect life and the manager was helpful. Like other places in Kalka, they said they were full or only had one room left, when most of the rooms were clearly empty - all a little strange.

Hospitality Missing! Terrible place to stay.

Booked the hotel through Agoda. The hotel owner was professional enough to charge 20/- for a mineral water bottle but forgot that professional approach when it was the customer's turn to receive what they paid for. A geyser as a showpiece in washroom may sound funny but it was for the geyser had only body but no connection with water pipes and no internal machinery just outer body. Room was subsequently changed but now the room given had stench from earlier guest leaving. A torn bath towel and a small soap to wash your hands after toilet and take bath, would speak a lot about sorry state of affairs in this hotel. Broken handle inside of the washroom door would add to cheapness and slopiness of the people involved in running this hotel. Hospitality was missing in all aspects - be it staff behaviour, owner's approach or clean rooms and hygiene, amenities basic of a hotel standard - ALL MISSING!

5 star hospitality.

We stayed here for 2 nights - on our way to & from Shimla. Both times the hospitality couldn't have been better or more accommodating.
On the way to Shimla we were very late arriving here due to a cancelled train from Amritsar & then left to catch the 5.45am toy train.
On the return journey we didn't leave Kalka until 7pm & the guys here accommodated a late check out.
All this was dealt with with a smile & a no hassle attitude.
Alongside this we had a comfy bed, plenty of hot water & a great location as it's only 10 mins walk to the railway station.
Ok so it's not a five star hotel, but for what is essentially a transit hotel in a transit town it certainly does the job very well.
