For my recent stay at the Hotel, I liked the rooms, they were spacious, clean and most importantly nearby the Ramraja temple, it is newly built with basic amenities, though the description says city view room but there is window in some rooms which opens in the passage so a bit misleading.. The main person Mr. Sen was really helpful and did his best...

Three days of peace!
A wonderful experience! We were greeted by a wonderful family who did everything to make us feel good. We spent three nights and we all needed dia to recharge from the chaos of the cities and to visit this hidden pearl full of things to see. Thank you so much everyone!

Authentic and off-the-beaten path experience in India
I had a wonderful experience staying with Sudama and her family as part of the Friends of Orchha Homestay initiative. Some of the best food I had in India was cooked by Sudama and it was a fantastic experience to be welcomed into their home. Primod (the father) is a potter so it was interesting to watch and learn about his process of making pots. In terms of sightseeing, Orchha is an incredibly underrated destination - with beautiful and mystical temples scattered amongst lots of greenery. Overall it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience - especially having arrived from Varanasi! I highly recommend Friends of Orchha if you’re looking for an authentic and off-the-beaten path experience. Many thanks to Romi (the person who runs the organisation) for helping me to organise the stay.

Enjoying village life in a small town
After the bustle in Delhi, our three night stay in Orchha at the house of brother and sister Vishal and Neetu was very enjoyable. The homestay is located on the outskirts of Orchha where you can enjoy village life. Neighbour children coming to the compound in the afternoon to receive extra school support from Vishal or the lady who will come and do your laundry on request. We (my wife and me and my wife’s sister) had two rooms with shared bathroom and toilet and direct access to the outside space. The rooms are basic, but clean and perfectly fit the expectation. There is no airco, but the ventilator keeps the room temperature acceptable. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared for you on request at a limited extra charge. Romi, who is managing the overall Friends of Orchha project is very helpful in getting things arranged, from booking a room to pick up from railway station or any other request you would have. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and if our travel schedule was not so tight we would have loved to stay longer!!
