Very bad experience
A day before my check-in, I contacted the hotel and spoke with one of their employees regarding room booking. I requested two rooms — one single occupancy and one double occupancy. I confirmed the booking several times and even asked if any advance payment was required to keep the rooms reserved. The employee clearly told me that no advance payment was needed and that I could pay during check-in.
However, the next day when we were on the way to the hotel, I tried calling them for assistance but no one answered the calls. When we reached the hotel, there was no one at the reception desk and the mobile phones were left there unattended. One staff member informed us that the person responsible for the booking had gone home for lunch.
We waited patiently for around 30 minutes. When he returned and checked the booking, he suddenly refused to give us the rooms at the price that his colleague had confirmed earlier. I requested him to call the colleague who made the booking, but he said he did not have his colleague’s phone number, which was very surprising.
Because of this unprofessional behavior and lack of responsibility, we had to leave the hotel and immediately book another room at a nearby hotel. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and stress during our trip.
I hope the management improves their booking system and customer service so that other guests do not face the same problem.
