Horrible first impressions...
The room which claims to be spacious, is one of the smallest I have seen and to top it off the passing train sounds (see video) coming thru are unbearable, as the hotel literally overlooks the masjid train station.....
After much arguing and looking at different rooms and than with MakeMyTrip intervention, we were allotted a bigger and quieter room which we were ok with. Special thanks to Akshita from mmt for her much needed assistance.I reconfirmed with their so called Manager Sujit, if the upgrade was for the entire stay and he said it was and we did not need to worry as long as he was there.....
Later in the night at 10.00 thou ,we were told that we need to shift the next day to another room as the one Sujit provided was just to calm us down (what a joke). And this too, he came to our room to present his argument at 10.00 in the night along with his colleague. Sujit had the audacity to tell us that the owner does not care for guests but is greedy for money and he even had to avoid cameras and come in our room to speak to us as he was avoiding the owners knowing. Only after again having an argument and involving MakeMyTrip, were we allowed to stay on as thou it was a very big favour done to us.
The washroom with comod, shower n baby wash basin was a little bigger than a train toilet with ZERO amenities as stated on the website, except for a small soap. The drain was open (see picture) the windows had see thru dirty glass, the bedsheets with burnt holes, the unclean waste bin liner was with pan spit/some dirty smelling liquid, etc, etc.....all attached pictures will give a clearer picture.A day prior to checkout, they wanted to repair the airconditioner of another room and said the outdoor unit was outside our room, so we should either vacate elsewhere or allow people to walk back n forth in our room, later they also wanted to repair our properly working aircon too n when we said it's not required, threatened saying that it might not work in the night, so beware....we had to quietly allow entry as we didn't want to get into unnecessary arguments before leaving the next day.
The story does not end there.. The day before our checkout, I reconfirmed, if the previously confirmed extra chargeable extension (which they had confirmed over phone call and whatsapp message 14 days before we checked-in) still stands and that, we don't mind moving to a smaller room as we just wanted to wash and change before our train journey. They reconfirmed and promised but, that too didn't happen.... A few hours before our check-out time, we called the reception to inform them that we were ready to move to a different room, we were told, extension was not possible as they already got a booking for that room. Sujit, then called to inform us that our time was up. As we had already sensed the abnormal, vindictive and unprofessional behaviour the previous night when they refused to take advance payment for an extension, we had already made alternate arrangements elsewhere within that last one hour!!
Sujit needs to learn hospitality and how not to be rude and unpleasant with guests. Please do not lie to paying customers and do not make us feel like people who are trying to steal from you!!...
