Never ever again coming back here
The room was in disgusting condition — stained walls, mold on the flush tank, a filthy, rusted sink, and broken or poorly maintained furniture. The entire space felt unclean, neglected, and unhygienic. Honestly, hospital rooms are better maintained than this.
There was no proper parking. They literally took our car and parked it out on the main road, which is both unsafe and completely unacceptable. For a hotel that claims to offer hospitality, this place is nothing short of a joke.
This hotel has absolutely no value for money. Don’t fall for the photos online — the reality is grim.
Do yourself a favor and never book a room at Royal Inn, Mangalore. You’ll regret every minute spent there. I certainly did.

The hotel felt safe
The cons:
Lack of attention to detail with cleaning - it didn’t feel properly dirty but it didn’t feel as clean as I’d have liked it to.
The bedding was quite worn - so whilst I’m sure it was actually clean, it being greyish (originally white) didn’t make me feel like it was.
Not all plug sockets properly attached to the wall.
Staff asked me directly for tips - this is possibly because of language barrier and me not understanding the hints being made, but I still didn’t appreciate it.
In summary: I stayed 3 nights, but if anywhere better would have been available that weekend (most places were fully booked all weekend) then I would have checked out early and stayed elsewhere.
