Not recommended even for budget travelers
Using the word "resort" in the name is a joke. Farreira resort is actually not even a proper hotel. Here is my honest review about my stay. Read full to get to know everything. If you are a bachelor with very tight budget and you don't find better option then stay here for 1-2 nights. For families, do NOT think to stay in this. Read below my experience to know why.
I stayed there with family (2 adults 2 kids) in june 2022. I booked via phone call i paid 50% to book. 1700 per night they charged for a non ac room. At time of check in, reception girl asked to pay full before getting room. So i paid full. No upi, card etc, only cash or bank transfer. No one there to pick your luggage to the room. That reception person (a very inexperienced girl in day and a man in night time) is the ONLY staff they have. So no staff at all. Every room service is done by reception person only. No electricity switch-over back up. When electricity goes, you would wait 5-15 min without electricity and then it comes. I had a word with hotel man while booking and he told me that breakfast is available so don't worry. But he didn't told that they don't have cutlery, plates & bowls. You cannot expect even satisfactory breakfast. Taste is not problem. Problem is service. Took half an hour. Breakfast given in 2 rounds, all in paper plates. And tea along with breakfast... Hehe they served in paper cups filled with 40ml tea along with breakfast. Till the time we finished bf tea became ice tea. No thermoflask. No cutlery. So don't expect satisfactory breakfast. For lunch and dinner you can order on Swiggy & Zomato and how you will eat dal sabji and all.. on paper plates? At night I asked for blankets as it was not in room and reception man gave just one blanket. I said i need 1 more & to my surprise he said "Aur blanket nahi hai sir" What?? I never expected such a reply. We are a family of 4 and how we can share 1 blanket. I called him again and when i forced that it will not work this way, then he gave 1 more. So we shared 2 blankets.
So the summary is - Rooms and toilets are okay to use but its old & poorly managed property with not even basic amenities you can expect. No one to support if you need for luggage, calling autoricshaw etc. Cost cutting on staff, cutlery, blankets and everything. But you will be charged good rates of breakfast, service charge on bottled water above mrp. And they gave me no payment receipt at all. When I asked, reception girl said "hamare sir se poochna padega". Then I ignored. My worst hotel experience till date.

Room: Clean, tidy, spacious, comfortable king size bed, one room toilet flush was clogged, one room main door auto lock damaged (used secondary latch lock at top of door), curtains were half transparent to my shock, nice ambience, working smart TV with decent cable networks, my room was non-ac so cant comment on that
Staff: Helpful, polite and friendly
Premises: Nice garden outside (maintained properly) Distance from Lonavala station: Walking distance of 10 mins (a huge upside)
Location environment: In a very calm and peaceful area (not crowded at all)
Price: Cheapest of all hotels I can ever find in Lonavala (trust me)
Overall: Considering the price, I can adjust with a few small issues; so overall a comfortable and good stay for couples; families can too stay not a problem. Would definitely suggest for budget friendly.

Early monsoon in lonavala
Stay in this place only if you are on a student budget.
No amenities and ambience.
Rooms are also smoked in.
Location is great though, very close to every thing.
Walking distance to railway station and bus depot.
Do not order room service.
Plenty of food available outside.
