Bamboo-clad room on the beach front

Great budget accommodation run by a friendly owner. Our room had a private balcony facing the sea. It was clean and comfortable

A lovely beachside homestay

Good location right by Cherai beach with nearby shops, restaurants & a bar. We had a lovely big room with a balcony, good aircon and wi-fi, and very clean.
Sanjeev and everyone at the home stay were very welcoming and kind. We also had a delicious keralan breakfast prepared by Sanjeev’s wife. Only stayed one night at the end of our trip for a days beach time but could have stayed a couple of days.

Peaceful paradise

We had 7 days in Sajeev's homestay. It was so relaxing and yet so close to the beach and the food establishments, it couldn't be more convenient. Sajeev is a brilliant host. He prepared breakfast for us (we went for the Indian style - recommend) and when requested also made dinner. Delicious food. On top of that Sajeev arranged bike hire and a 2 hour tuk-tuk sightseeing tour:both are highly recommended. The room was spacious, cool, with a separate balcony and a very comfy bed. If you're looking for a place to stay in Cherai Beach you won't do better than here.

My stay at Sajeev’s Himestay

Sajeev’s Homestay couldn’t be more centrally placed at Cherai Beach, Kerala: the sea is just across the road from the property.
Large first floor rooms, the interiors of which are decorated to resemble the interiors of bamboo huts, are very unique. The beds are comfortable and there are tea and coffee-making facilities in the rooms and filtered water on tap for all guests. Sajeev provides wonderful Indian breakfasts, toast and jam and huge plates of diced exotic fruit each morning.
As a solo traveller, Sajeev and his two sons couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. They alerted me me to events and interesting things to see in the area and recommended restaurants I perhaps would never have found. You will not find anywhere more friendly than Sajeev’s Homestay.

Best yet. Don’t miss it

This place is probably the best in Cherai beach! We had balcony room an had shade, breeze and evening people watching!
The breakfast was by far the best so far. Sanjeev and family could not have been more friendly and helpful. 10/10
