PEERLESS-POOR OLD HOTEL IN DURGAPUR

This is a OLD AGE NON-MAINTAINED HOTEL.
Not a comfortable stay as rooms are mostly wet and even the Room's Central AC is switched off from room, still there a chilling effect and wet atmosphere, also the Bathroom exhaust is not always ON without which it's SUFFOCATING to stay inside. Always you have to keep requesting Reception and Housekeeping to switch on the Bathroom Exhaust. At least the window open option then it would have been little comfortable but on requesting the Management is very RIGID in opening the window.
This also reminds me that almost 2 days before arriving I had specifically requested for adding a Bengali Channel, monthly subscription Rs. 25/- per month, and I was assured of the same, but yesterday, 20th August 2026, when requesting the manager refused saying that it's not possible and later said that they will have to intimate their MANAGEMENT over email and on approval for Rs.25/- and the only they can process. Later on threatening them to give bad reviews it was activated almost after 1 hours. Even most of the Free channels are not subscribed.
Food options are too less during breakfast which is as usual in old days.

Average! Not expected from Peerless Hotel

Facilities are available only if it is asked for. Food quality should be better. In my room I couldn't find ac remote. Finally came to know this is centralised so controlling is not possible only solution is switching it off. Weird.
