My family and I checked out in less than 12 hours, not because we wanted to, but
because we simply did not feel comfortable staying any longer. I have photographs and videos documenting several of the issues mentioned below.
Room 201 – Cockroaches from the Moment We Entered
We were initially allotted Rooms 201 and 203.
The moment we entered Room 201, we immediately noticed multiple live
cockroaches—at least 2–3 on the bed and several more on the floor. We informed the reception immediately and requested another room
Multiple Room Changes Despite My Medical Condition
I had to carry our luggage back to the reception with my wife and request yet another room.
This was especially difficult because I had been discharged from the hospital only seven days earlier. Before arriving, I had already informed the reception staff member, Mr. Shafeeq, over the phone about my recent hospitalization and medical condition.
Despite this, we were made to move repeatedly:
Room 201 → Reception → Suite 109 → Reception → Room 303
By then, we were exhausted and simply wanted a clean room.
Suite Room 109 – Already Vacated but Not Cleaned
We were then shifted to Suite Room 109.
Unfortunately, the situation was even worse. It appeared that the room had only just been vacated and had not been cleaned or prepared for new guests. The staff
themselves seemed unaware that the room had only recently been vacated.
The room attendant who accompanied us appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath, making an already
uncomfortable situation even more unpleasant.
Room 303 – The "Best" Room We Were Offered
Although Room 303 did not have the obvious cockroach infestation we encountered in Room 201, it had several serious cleanliness issues.
• Toilet appeared to have been used and not properly cleaned
• Visible hair and accumulated dirt around the wastewater drain.
• Broken toilet seat.
• Pipes and washbasin area showing obvious signs of poor maintenance and inadequate cleaning.
• Heavy dust accumulation and cobwebs behind the television - When spoke regarding this with the property owner earlier this morning, his reply was the most shocking, which homes doesn’t have these dust and cobwebs, almost 90% of the 5-star rated properties across the globe will have these issues.
• Blankets had a strong, stale odor, making them uncomfortable to use. We could not bring ourselves to pull them over our faces or upper bodies because of the smell.
• A strong foul smell continuously came from the toilet - Unfortunately, unable to provide the proof of the stinky smell from toilet.
When we informed the reception about the foul smell from the toilet, we were told that the toilet had just been cleaned. Despite that assurance, the smell persisted throughout our stay.
Advertised Stay vs. Actual Experience
We expected a clean and reasonably maintained room.
The complimentary toiletries we expected were not available during our stay. We were also never informed by any member of the staff that complimentary breakfast was included with our booking.
What Happened After Checkout Was Even More Disappointing:
After checking out, I contacted the reception only to inquire on the refund of Rs 1000, which was earlier promised by evening then for today and later after 3 days, when tried to provide constructive feedback regarding the cleanliness issues.
The receptionist apologized sincerely and asked for forgiveness, which I appreciated. She then informed the owner Mr. Asif.
Instead of asking about our experience or addressing the concerns professionally, he spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. He told me never to visit his property again and said that he did not wish to earn money from customers like me. He and his staffs were on allegations that had created all these fuss and ruckus just to get back the money.
When I explained that my complaint was simply about the dust and cobwebs behind the television, his response was that this was "natural" and common even in five-star
hotels.
That response disappointed me far more than the cleanliness issues themselves.
Final Thoughts
This review is based solely on my family's experience during our stay on 04–05 July 2026.
Every hotel can have an occasional issue. What matters is how those issues are handled. In my case, we experienced three room allocations in one night, serious
cleanliness concerns, and a disappointing response when we raised them politely after checkout.
I hope this review encourages the management to improve its housekeeping standards, inspect rooms properly before allocating them to guests, and treat customer feedback with the professionalism and respect that every paying guest deserves.
