Not recommended

The hotel looks quite good from the outside, and the overall exterior appearance initially gives a positive impression. Unfortunately, the experience inside was extremely disappointing.
The **food quality was very poor** with **very limited options** available. The food was **excessively spicy**, and after consuming it, **all family members fell ill**. Shockingly, they even served **stale rasgulla**, which is unacceptable for any hotel charging premium rates.
The **internal roads and pathways are badly maintained**, with **uneven surfaces, potholes, and stone steps**, making it **dangerous for elderly people and children**.
The **toilets had serious water-logging issues**, and **there was no water supply during the night**, which caused great inconvenience. The **exhaust fan was not working**, worsening hygiene and comfort.
There was **no one available at the reception at night** to attend calls or address emergencies. Despite **multiple complaints**, **no corrective action was taken** by the management.
**Building 2 is particularly the worst** in terms of maintenance and facilities.
Overall, the hotel is **overpriced and misleading**, and it feels like customers are being fooled and charged heavily without basic services being ensured.
**Strongly not recommended. Please avoid this hotel.**

Have a nice lunch

In the hotel restaurant we had a good paneer with cashew sauce. Service a bit slow and in fact we waited almost 40 minutes for the food which was still quality.

very nice experience. Best hotel in Shantiniketan, I didn't expect this kind of services at a place like shantiniketan. Hotel staffs were very polite and helpful. Top notch services at a reasonable tariff.

Prisoner of Udichi Regency

The mosquito infested hotel is a jail of sorts. i was prohibited to enter after midnight and then stopped from going out before 6 am !!!! the guard and receptionist actually said ' i cannot leave' worse than a hostel, i threatened to call Police as i felt i was a prisoner, they let me step out warning me that i must return in two hours !!!!
On the day i was checking out i requested a two hours late check out and the rude receptionist point black said ' not possible, unless i pay for a whole day" what was funny is i was the only guest in the hotel that day !!!!!
I will be returning to Bolpur often from here on but not to this place.
