Ameya is truly a paradise on Vembanad Lake ✨️

Wow. Absolutely stunning from the moment the gates open up to Ameya ✨️
Our stay was in Shanti Cottage. The cottage is air conditioned, with the most stunning view of the beautiful grounds. The outside, private shower garden was a bonus. Sitting on the veranda watching the sun rise over the lake was magical, with birdlife loving their home here.
The swimming pool is warm, with the view over the lake and grounds - it keeps you in there!
The food, the service, impeccable.
We loved the ethos of Ameya - supporting the local village by sourcing food from them. The eco set up, yet not compromising on the luxury experience.
This is a serene, peaceful, paradise. Thank you to the loveliest team working here - Ameya is very special. We take home treasured memories ✨️

Exceptional service

We had planned to stay at this property after seeing all the beautiful reviews … however due to reason beyond our control we couldn’t travel … the team when we reached out for cancellation were extremely kind and refunded the money immediately without any hesitation.. this is what stays with you and rest assured will ensure that we do stay with them when we plan Kerala next … thank you again Ameya Kerala

Golfilocks paradise spot with exquisite food

Cottages so beautifully set in ‘not too big not too smalk’ verdant and flowery lakeside gardens and perfectly decorated with framed mirrors, artwork and lovely china - not too formal and not underdone - in fact just Goldilocks exactly right. Our lunch and supper served on our private terrace were simply divine and full of garden fresh fruit and veg from the very talented chef. (Shame he didn’t work on the packed breakfast which we needed to take to our early train as that was just pre packaged sweet cake n biscuits). Our yoga class was challenging in a good way in the most beautiful shambhala and our massages great.

Beautiful and peaceful retreat

Loved loved loved this place. It is beautifully manicured and tastefully decorated. Best of all, it is located right next to the Vembanad lake. We were there on New Years Eve, so there was some music and partying from the surroundings but it was still so peaceful here. Each cottage (we stayed in Ananda) has its own attached gazebo where you can have dinner and breakfast and just look at the water. The outdoor shower was nice too. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay there a bit longer.

A dream awakened, to live and relive

Perched away from the hustle and bustle, it is an oasis of refinement and serenity, where we were able to put our suitcases down and where our souls landed with them.
Spacious bungalows, enhanced by elegant decoration (sculptures and carefully chosen objects), offering absolute comfort: king-size beds, smart dressing rooms, outdoor bathrooms with open-air shower (happiness under the stars!), and private terraces nestled in a flowery and wooded park, bordered by a peaceful lake where butterflies and birds dance (Kingfishers in particular).
Everything has been thought out for pure pleasure: fresh water renewed daily, tea available, discreet air conditioning, and impeccable service, carried by a team with great care.
After busy days, what a pleasure to lounge by the large pool facing the back waters, to treat yourself to a regenerating Ayurvedic massage, and to dine with a candlelight lover, lulled by the warm breeze, enjoying inventive and tasty local cuisine...
It was a secret Eden where every detail was a caress for our senses!
