Central location, good staff, does the job.

A quant little budget hotel, accommodation was affordable and right in the heart of the city. While the hotel has a cross between a hostel and a hotel vibe, it was clean, warm, safe and good enough price for sharing a twin room. The building retains its Dutch characteristings, hence the rooms are small and slightly awkward but that’s the building. While bathrooms were shared they were clean, and the showers worked well. Staff were absolutely lovely, the manager who checked me in had A+ banter, and gave me lots of information about the city and what to go and do etc. While the mornings can be relatively noisy with people getting up and moving around, and the activity outside, that’s the nature of being on the center street of a city. I very much enjoyed my stay.

A hostel with private rooms

Wapen van Tilburg is conveniently located at the egde of the city centre. Tilburg’s central train station is just across the street. It’s perfect for (solo) travelers who just need a place to crash or friends that want to enjoy the night life of Tilburg, but also want a private room instead of a hostel.
That’s the small gap this ‘hotel’ fills. Because it’s a hostel with private rooms. Expect the conditions you often find in a hostel: not so clean rooms, loud noises of other guests coming in late (often drunk), lots of noise from outside and a shared bathroom/shower that’s not always clean. My room was small, cold and not clean (the carpet was dirty and a lot of places were dusty).
To anyone who expects a hotel experience: spend a little more and don’t book a room here. At +/- 75€ a night, this ‘hotel’ is a very expensive hostel. For 30€ more you can book a proper hotel room in Tilburg.
This place is only for people who just need a place to crash and don’t mind the noise and people who want to enjoy the nightlife of Tilburg, want to have a private room and otherwise don’t mind the ‘hostel experience’.

Thank you for your review and feedback and we are the step just before a hostel. Our Inn is perfect to stay after a party, concert, meeting with friends or other events. Very friendly

It's an really nice little Café/Restaurant with really friendly waiters. Everything is clean and tidy. They are also really helpful with questions about the area or special requests. The chairs are comfy and the interior is classic and tasteful.

Lekker eten, gemoedelijke sfeer voor goede prijs.

Wij kwamen hier alleen om te eten en komen er vaker. Bediening is vriendelijk, ontspannen, maar alert. Eten is goed. Bierkaart en menu zijn leuk gevarieerd. Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding klopt. Geen slechte ervaringen.

Jongeren hotel..... boven de 25 niet doen

Dat het geen luxe hotel is is prima, maar het feit dat medegasten de gehele nacht keiharde muziek draaien en extreem luidruchtig zijn was niet te doen.
70 euro betaald voor nacht wakker liggen op een doorgezakt bed , geen eigen douche of wc hebben en een grote mond in de nacht van de meegast die de overlast bezorgde.
Mooie foto's op de website, super aardige eigenaar en personeel.
Leuk voor jongeren misschien.
Of iets duidelijker vermelden bij booking dat het gaat om een semi hostel voor jongeren waar je lawaai en grote mond er gratis bij krijgt.
Zonde van elke euro die ik er uitgaf
