Staff was very friendly and the room was stellar. It had a great view of the city, modern amenities and a Nespresso machine!

At least I slept well, but...

This is a small hotel in a beautiful building close to the Nijmegen city centre, within easy walking distance from the train station and with ample restaurants, bars and shopping just outside. Despite the location, my room was quiet, pleasantly cool thanks to the air conditioning, and I enjoyed excellent sleep. I also found the room to be clean and reasonably well maintained.
However - even given the location and the busy season, there is just no excuse for charging rates this exorbitant for what can barely be described as a 4-star hotel. While comfortable to sleep in, the absence of simple amenities like a mini-bar or even paper towels was surprising for a hotel of this supposed caliber and price. To add, getting to my room required climbing up a very steep and narrow set of stairs, luggage and all.

Setback, dirty and stuffy.

Two single rooms booked. Price-quality is not good. Hotel failed to indicate that sanding and drilling would take place on Saturday morning. Manager asked, he shrugged and walked away.
Single room 1 only had a small skylight through which also two pigeons entered my room. Single room 2 had a view of a dirty wooden bulkhead with two air tubes and insulation material.
And that for 143.50 per night including breakfast. Truly a disgrace.
The bed had a thin mattress that also slipped off the bed. Had the feeling there was no vacuuming.
