Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.

The hotel has very friendly staff. The rooms are good. The bathroom is a bit on the small side. In the room you hear the noise from the restaurant, but it is not very disturbing. The breakfast is great. This is served in the space of the El Zorro restaurant. That received a separate assessment.

Lots of noise and very hot room

Room temperature at 10 p.m. was still 31 degrees and no air conditioning. Until late in the evening, noise pollution from departing guests from the restaurant located below the hotel rooms AND from the busy highway nearby. Not to be repeated.

Simple small hotel, decent value

This mid-size hotel in a very small village is nicely situated in the middle of Drenthe. It is a good place to start tours in the area by bike, foot or car. I personally used it as starting point for a cycling trip. The room was big enough for just me, a bit small for two people. The bed was comfortable, unfortunately it was a twin. The bathroom was clean and had excellent water pressure although the sink was a little tucked away in the corner. The room had new carpet and the rest of decoration was also in good condition and overall clean. The breakfast was good although I was a bit surprised I was asked the night before at what time I wanted to eat. In total it is very decent value for money for the type and size of room. It was more or less what I expected, so for me that is average to good.
One negative:
I was given a room at the front of the hotel, overlooking the terrace. And this gave quite some music from the speakers outside bolted high on the walls, especially when the windows are open. The music must have stopped around 10:30 or 11:00 though. I can also foresee issues during busier summer time with visitors chatting loudly outside and smokers near the open windows. It is best to request a room at the back.

kitchen closed at 20.00 and breakfast is bad. Old bread no eggs and bad coffee.

Fijne kamer boven restaurant
Wel wat gehorig maar hele fijne bedden en douche! De ambiance doet veel, heel knus en gezellig en het personeel is top en super lief!
