Not so bad....

I did not like the first day at all, nor the hostel, narrow staircase without an elevator, 2nd floor, I had to call by phone because there was no one there. The owner came angry, gave me the key, and left. There is an arrival schedule. The alley where it is located is third-world, but very close to the center. Spacious room and double bed, air conditioning for 6€ per day (they did not charge me for it). From the 2nd day on, I saw that it was not bad; the owners are there at certain times, there is a small reception (a little table). In general, it was clean and I did not need anything else. I even saw the eclipse almost at the door. I must say that I have been comfortable and that they treated me very well. They even took me to the station in their car. Sometimes first impressions are deceiving.

More hostel than hostel

The floor was dirty under the bed, we asked for a large bed and they gave us two small ones, very mediocre, a third without an elevator…. Very regular.
The bathroom was clean, but the window was tiny, the decoration was ornate, and the access street was third-world.

OF OTHERS' SHAME

I cannot comment on the rooms, service and location because my wife had to cancel the trip due to a serious problem with the car that prevented them from traveling to Teruel. They notified the hostel 24 hours in advance but they refused to return the money loaded on the card, in Other hotels in the area canceled the reservation without problem.
When I contacted the hostel again and indicated what possibility they had of returning the money, the hostel indicated that it would not be possible due to not notifying them 72 hours in advance. They may be right, but when I told them that I would post the corresponding review, they told me that they were threatening, raising the tone of the conversation on his part and that my wife was a LIAR who had regretted going to Teruel to take the bike route because it was 4 degrees below zero. WITHOUT COMMENTS OF OTHERS' SHAME, I will make the claim through VISA

Great location for the centre of Teruel

On arrival we were met by a man in a tiny reception at the foot of the stairs. He checked us in swiftly and was friendly & helpful - giving us a map to show us the best route into town (which was only 5 minutes round the corner).
We managed to park for free in the street. I suspect at times it could be busy but it was ok for us. The area looks a bit run down in terms of graffiti and similar.
Our room was small but had everything we needed. Thankfully the window faced into an inner courtyard so we heard no road noise (though the road wasn't that busy anyway). Bedding was spotlessly clean - they have their laundry next door.
The shower-room was ok too though I noticed a couple of ants in there.
Next door to us was the breakfast area but thankfully it wasn't noisy.
All in all it was ok but I wouldn't rush to go back.
