Lovely little finca high up at the mountain
This place was just lovely. Very reasonably priced, big and clean room. Nothing luxury, but that was not what we came to look for. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful (well there is a donkey next door, and he informed us of his meal time every afternoon, but that was just funny). Good riding instructor and good arena. No possibility for riding outside arena though.
In the wintertime it is a bit cold in night time (at least to sit outside). But everything is very green, avocado trees bear fruit and cactuses have flowers. It is really up the hill and roads are very steep, so driving there is a bit nerve wrecking if you are not used to it (we were not). Puerto de la Cruz is a short drive away, and so is Villa Orotava (very pretty old Spanish town) and Santa Ursula (Small but has shops and restaurants).

To avoid in winter
A perfect place to escape the grandiose buildings of Puerto de la Cruz, yes, but certainly not to escape the cold and humidity! We stayed in this accommodation with a stunning view of the sea and the mountain, but the comfort stopped there. The old hacienda vibe was charming, but not when it's 19°C and 77% humidity inside (feels like 16°/17°).
The heating was a real problem. A tiny portable heater for a 70m² apartment was insufficient. The main heater, remotely controlled by the host, never worked long enough to warm up the place before shutting off abruptly. We sent multiple messages to the host, but no response. The fuse even blew one evening, and we realized the electrical setup couldn't handle heating the apartment.
And to top it off, there were slugs inside the accommodation... Unbelievable! The place was humid and poorly heated. We left sick, which is unacceptable.
And the cherry on top, the host's response when we asked why the pool wasn't heated: "But it is, it's heated by the sun!" Is she kidding? The Booking description said "heated pool", and that was far from true.
I travel a lot, and this is the first time I've left a negative review. Unfortunately, the host's attitude had a lot to do with it.

Attention rip-off - accommodation is terrible!
We arrived exhausted on 08.02.2026 at 8 pm - after the ride was already adventurous . the parking lot barely illuminated and 200 m away from the accommodation we had to roll our suitcases with rollers through the black pebble sand...then we continued at 70% gradient on a slippery concrete layer without railings to hold on to the top with these suitcases . However, the biggest shock was waiting for us

An unbearable smell in this room was extremely present ! It smelled as if a snack had worked there before.
The beds were not welcoming - The unpleasant smell was ubiquitous and was really very unpleasant !
No heating and we just froze all night and in the morning.
We stayed only one night out of the 10 days. The hostess acted so hypocritical - this is a rip-off and inhumane - in this way to exempt herself from tourists who are looking forward to the holiday and have saved for the holiday !
We will fight this machination!

Not recommended. Apartments are worn out. Strictly in need of renovation.Photos do not correspond to the Realii
Not recommended for holidays and relaxation. Only for adventurers who do not value recreation. Not recommended. Price performance does not come into play. You can only reach the mountains for four kilometres in first gear. May not meet any car. otherwise approach to 30% gradient. You think the car's going up the front.

Won't stay there ever again!
My husband, our two children and me have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights.
The room was very dirty...had to clean it by myself...the room was very very hot and they didnt have even a fan...
The attitude of the very German owner was horrible..we had some problems with the water in the kitchen and they rudly blaimed us for that...they were very unfriendly in general..wont visit this place ever again.
