Dream hotel

The best hotel we have ever stayed in. Miriam is lovely and has spoiled us a lot., every day had a detail for us.The setting is also wonderful, to disconnect.

Wonderful HOTEL

The hotel is splendid, well above the established category. We didn’t see any “buts.” Decorated with exquisite taste, very comfortable and all details of great hotel. What already makes it excellent is the staff, and in this case Miriam is the best of the hosts. What a great worker and what a great person.

Peaceful country hotel near Bilbao

Just outside Bilbao, Spain we found this delightful quiet hotel with fine restaurant and a bar nearby. We were well cared for our whole visit by Miriam in reception. We enjoyed a peaceful respite from the city at a good value.
This is hill country not far from the Urdaibai Bioreserve area.

small family run hotel in a small village

this village is small and isolated and consequently there are not many accommodation available there and consequently no competition.
in a very quiet area, the hotel is small and clean, the bed comfortable except for the lack of blanket. a small doona could be found in the cupboard but it did not entirely cover the whole bed.
the tv is flat screen but tiny.
Despite the hotel being in a natural park area, our room had no view at all.
on the plus side, the hostess is friendly and tries very hard to be helpful.
very good Wifi and parking is easy.
very little choice of restaurants around the town, just 2 options so again not a lot of competition

Three great nights in Morga

My wife and I spent three nights in the Hotel Katxi using it as a base to explore the wonderful Urdaibai Bird Center, Gernika and a coastal town, Geitaria. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Hotel Katxi also has attractive indoor and outdoor public spaces. Miryam, the owner, is a marvelous (English speaking) hostess who was very attentive to our needs. A short walk from the hotel is RESTAURANTE KATXI, where we ate our dinners which were excellent. I really enjoyed my stay there and would be happy to return.
