Hotel, spacious and typical restaurant very well located on the heights of Benissa
We went there on Valentine's Day, February 14 for lunch, like many other people.We enjoyed the terrace in the sun ,a chance for this holiday. Despite the world , the service followed suit with the choice of menu which was almost unanimously, as much in its variety as its originality!

I love this place
Beautiful place, very welcoming staff, tablecloth covered in silver.... Etc... and the best: an excellent meal... lunch is simply fabulous...two starters, a main course of your choice and a dessert for the modest sum of 27€....

Not the best experience
I don't like writing about a bad experience, but now something needs to be said.
Upon arriving at Casa del Maco, I immediately noticed the lack of maintenance of the garden.
Still a first impression that stands out.
The reception was nice and there were a few guests in the restaurant.
The room turned out to be spacious and the bed tidy.
On closer inspection, there is quite a bit of deferred maintenance, not to mention a form of neglect.
Mosquito net that is broken.
The woodwork of the door/window is rotten.
The wall behind the bed urgently needed a lick of paint, because this could and would look more hygienic!
We were also missing a few handles on the bathroom furniture.
Small things that can easily be solved, but which would greatly improve the overall impression.
When we used the bathroom at night, we noticed a very unpleasant smell.
Upon inspection, it turned out that food remains were rotting in the furniture under the sink, as well as a used diaper, etc.
Not really a pleasant smell or sight.
We of course, reported this and the very friendly and sweet lady who provided breakfast resolved it immediately and was very helpful as well as embarrassed.
But… at 7:30 we noticed that there was no water in the room!
Not a drop came out of the tap nor shower.
So I went back to that sweet and helpful lady, it turned out that the pump that supplies the water had stopped.
Could happen of course… but what turned out?
The key to restart it... was missing!
Phone to the owner, and... he had it with him, but apparently he doesn't live nearby!
He would be there in an hour! At 9:20 he was on site, and it turned out that a fuse had blown.
Small thing, but we were already having breakfast. We helped ourselves with bottled water!
We also saw that the table at breakfast was covered with NESPRESSO cups.
We were already looking forward to a super delicious cup of coffee. Unfortunately, only the cups were from this brand... not the coffee!
Although the breakfast was super with fresh juice and bread and plenty of everything.
It may be said that the owner did not charge us anything for breakfast and give another 10% on the room rate.
Very nice… but I would have preferred if he also thanked us with a small apology.
Unfortunately, he didn't arrive and he avoided the customers afterwards.
These things mean that I cannot and will not recommend this b&b.

Amazing place, close to everything and quiete as we love.
Diner was perfect ..
Room is very clean, the ambiance of the hotel is romantic and peace full , we love it
The staff is very helpful polite and discret.
Swimming pool is perfect with a nice chill out place around

Stopover number 2
First stop France where we discovered a little gem and 2nd day we decided to drive and stop when tired and we ended up here, an even better find than the french one, great room with view, bathroom that worked well and food that puts the French to shame.we will return!
