Amazing rooftop pool and close to the beach. A bit further away from tourist sites but very worthwhile to stay at. Would recommend!

Very disappointing and over-priced.
We booked the hotel well over a month in advance and the price was high, but given the presentation and reviews, we though it would be value for money. It turned out not to be the case!
The Pro's:
Reasonable size room.
Kitchenette is well stocked in terms of cutlery and crockery, hot plate. microwave and kettle
Nice interior design/decoration.
The Cons:
Very unpleasant/unsympathetic staff
The pictures on the website are misleading
Very miserable view from the balcony
Balcony chairs and table were very dirty
It is starting to show signs of aging/wear-and tare as the shower water seeps through to the adjacent toilet cubicle.
Totally over-priced
We booked a room that was listed as twin or double, explicitly asked for a double bed, but were given a twin. Our check in was between 3pm and 4pm and when we asked if we could be moved to a double room instead, we were refused. We were told in a very matter of fact way, that if we wanted a guarantee on of a double, we should have booked a a more expensive room and that there are no double rooms available. The great thing about the internet is that you can check on these things, so we did. Not only were there double rooms available, but they were at nearly half the price we paid.
Yes, there was a Grand Prix that weekend, which was an excuse the hotel used to jack up the prices. Given the fact that we had already over-paid and they had plenty of unsold rooms at 4pm, it would cost them nothing to show a little empathy and either move us to an available double room or upgrade us or even suggest that we can pay extra for an upgrade. Instead they chose greed and the attitude of the staff was pretty much, "Well, that is the room you booked, in our terms it says 'subject to availability', so there is nothing you can do about it and I am not willing to help you either". The attitude of the staff did not match what one would expect from a 4-star hotel.
My advice to anyone who asks - AVOID! Unless you are willing to either:
- Overpay (And get some kind of guarantee in writing)
- Overpay and stare into the neighboring block/hotel (See pictures attached)
- Overpay and have zero empathy from the staff

We would like to clarify a few points: when the reservation was made through Expedia, no specific request for a double bed was received.
As indicated, this preference is always subject to availability, and during the Formula 1 weekend the hotel was almost fully booked. Online availability does not necessarily reflect the same room type or bed configuration, and had it been possible, we would have gladly offered a change, as we regularly do with other guests.
Additionally, our reception team offered the option of adding a topper to join the twin beds for greater comfort, which was declined.
Regarding the pricing, rates may vary depending on demand and major events in the city, as is common across the hospitality industry worldwide.

Very nice Rooftop
Very good experience at Amani Sky & Tapas Bar, the rooftop of Hotel Tembo. The food was very delicious, with beautiful views of Barcelona and a very pleasant atmosphere.
Paulo and the whole team were very attentive and friendly. In addition, it coincided with the eclipse and they lent us some glasses to be able to see it, a very nice touch. Without a doubt, a rooftop that is worth visiting.

Nothing special
Beautiful hotel
However, we went there for the rooftop pool and well, IMPOSSIBLE, towels everywhere to block the lounge chairs and the outdoor armchairs on the terrace, we stayed at the bar for several hours and nothing moved... the towels must be removed!!!! We booked this hotel and couldn't take advantage of what was included in the price... just pathetic....

Great place to stay for short break in Barcelona
Stayed here for 4 nights whilst attending the Cruilla Festival. Very modern hotel with good facilities including impressive rooftop pool area and good dining options. The room was excellent with a full length balcony and kitchen facilities that included a good size fridge freezer - very useful in the hot weather. The location was ideal for us - 5 minutes walk to the festival and to a major shopping centre, and 10 minutes walk to the beach. There is a nearby metro station and the staff were very helpful. Would recommend booking directly rather than through a third party.
