A very nice hotel in a very good location for Kaloum. The room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was good and staff were always on hand to cater for your needs. Front of house staff were excellent and with a free shuttle buss it was easy getting from the airport to the hotel. Wifi was good in the rooms but not so good in the bedroom.

I was disappointed anyway.

The room was spacious. Breakfast was in the large and pleasant restaurant, but the offer is rather aimed at non-European visitors.
BUT, the maintenance of the rooms could be much better.
In the first room, the air conditioning and refrigerator did not work and was transferred.
In the second room there was mold In the shower and the sink tablet had descended. In the room the door of the fridge was loose and could not close. Under the bed was a large carpet which is a gathering place of dust. There were several cockroaches on the loose.
Both my credit cards were declined by the payment machine while I could pay with them in the nearby restaurants. So I was forced to collect cash.

Hotel Souare (Guinea Conakry)

We booked three rooms for two nights, inclusive of breakfast.
Just so that you know what to expect, I will mention hereunder the anomalies we noticed:-
1. The check in took 20.mins. We paid in Euros and getting the change back took another 30 mins.
2. The WIFI did not work for a single mjnute from the time we checked in till the time we checked out. We realised for the first time what a nightmare it can be to be offline for two days (apparently only local Sim Cards can get you data connection).
3. The check out took 40 mins because they didn't know whether to charge for breakfast or not. Since we were at the risk of missing our flight, we offered to pay for the breakfast nevertheless but then the front desk had no clue what to charge. Eventually a translator stepped in and we could leave.

They steal money from rooms

The safes in the rooms not working and hotel personnel stole money from the room.
Useless personnel and manager.
I do not recommend this hotel.
