A rare gem
While we were expecting the Bijagos archipelago to be a tropical paradise, and it did not disappoint at all, what took us by surprise was the excellent cuisine. The menu is varied and generous, locally sourced and extremely sophisticated.

Luxury in Rugged, Remote Paradise
You can chose from several
options for appetizer, main and dessert prepared by The French Chef. Options include grilled fish, seafood, dishes and pasta and meat and lamb. Our group preferred the shrimp preparations and stuffed crab. The captain fish, ,ceviche, various skewer preparations are excellent. Selects from Desserts like lava cake, ice cream, flan, mousses, and our favorite cannon ball with sweet stuff finside a large dark chocolate ball. Excellent. Presentation. The full bar offers cocktails, wines, and beers.
Open air Dining settings include 4. -6 person tables, and a larger group area on deck with twinkling lights.
40 unique bungalows offer various and layouts to accommodate single travelers, couples, families, and any size groups. Bathrooms offer a hot water walk in shower, own toilet, mosquito nets. Hard woods, reeds, and other native highlight the decor in cabinets and sitting area. Each front porch is decorated with local wood carving. Some porches are in shade and some in full sun.
The central resort area includes an excursion shop, displays of local wood works and handicrafts for purchase.
