Perfect antidote to Tikal

So glad we stayed in this place during our visit to Tikal. Beautiful surrounding lovely lake and nice to chill there after Tikal.
As English speaker not many people spoke English but we managed!

Lovely hotel in paradise setting

Nice and attractive hotel, beautifully situated on Lake Petén Itza. The restaurant offers fantastic views of the lake. Everywhere there are places where you can enjoy yourself in or on the water. The staff speak virtually no English but they are extremely friendly. The food is of very good quality.

Great Stay in Paradise!

Gringo Perdido is a little hidden gem! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It has a very picturesque aesthetic with several piers and hammocks and nice lighting right on the lake. The breakfast and dinner service is excellent - very delicious! The drinks are expertly crafted. Our room for a family of four was a great size...plenty of room to spread out. I would definitely stay there again!

Satisfied customer

Of all the hotels we stayed at, this is one of the best experiences we have had in Peten. Its location, its food, its service, its tranquility, and the little details like having coffee or tea at your fingertips, the view of the lake is priceless! Please, if you go, do not stay just one day because it does not do justice to the tranquility that this unique place offers. And the experience is unique; the food is extraordinarily delicious and pleasant. We loved it; I will return, and next time I will stay more days. I recommend it a thousand times; you will not regret it. If you are looking for a place for complete relaxation, this is your spot. Be aware that it is located at a point from which you can visit several places.

Stunning resort with amazing food!

We stayed here for two nights to visit tikal and had such a wonderful time. The resort is absolutely stunning and very well kept. The staff was friendly and very accommodating given our little spanish capabilities. We booked a sunrise Tikal hike through the hotel and were paired with the most amazing tour guide, Luis. Breakfast and dinner are included but it is a pre-set menu. Everything we ate was delicious and the lunch menu is incredible. We will definitely be staying here again if we're ever in the area.
