A Haven of Peace

I enjoyed a pleasant studio with a small terrace overlooking a magnificent tropical garden, I loved it!
Tastefully decorated studio, small kitchen area, the owners are available and attentive
Studio Ideally located to enjoy Basse-Terre, Soufrière or Les Saintes.

Poor quality/price

Magnificent garden that unfortunately lacks furniture to enjoy it fully. The bungalows are well equipped; kitchen with everything needed, shared washing machine. The location is ideal for hiking in La Soufrière.
On the other hand, the inside is in his juice. A renovation is necessary to our liking considering the price paid (98€/night). The walls are yellowed, the lamps full of insects/dust, shower head clogged, no hand soap/shower provided, garden chairs with bird poop used for the interior, very poor soundproofing between neighbors, old decoration.
Breakfast is not included.
No cleaning during our 11 day stay.
No one was present when we left (our neighbors had to ask us for a breakdown of PQ:D). We shared our comments above with the owners via email without any response from them.
Contrary to previous reviews, we stayed in better places in Guadeloupe.

Exceptional

A peaceful and wonderful little corner of paradise at the foot of Soufrière with an exceptional garden and many birds. We had a dream stay with our son welcomed by Louis and Hélène who combine delicacy, smiles and attention. We can't wait to come back!

Not bad

Have just spent 5 nights at Les Cycas and have mixed feelings. It is set in the most beautiful landscaped gardens with an amazing array of birds to watch (and I'm not really a bird person!). However it is a long way from anywhere other than the volcano, which if you want to walk to you need to go very early. Not just because it gets hot but there were SO many people doing the same there was nowhere to park. The nicer beaches are the other end of the island, 1 1/2 hours drive. Very few restaurants open nearby although we were told this is a busy time.
The room was clean and comfortable, great shower and although the kitchen area is tiny, it's very well equipped. They are very close together and we were unlucky in having a man with an extremely loud voice next to us, who spent most of the evenings on his phone. We had ordered breakfast, which was certainly not expensive, but were quite surprised on our arrival to find all 5 days breakfast waiting for us. Coffee, juice and fruit were fine (bananas were delicious) but after the third day, we threw the bread away and bought fresh locally.
Lots to like about Les Cycas and the owner was always around and concerned that everything was ok. Enjoyed our stay but not quite sure who we would recommend it to.

Great "Jungle Stay"

Beautiful and well maintained bungalows in an exquisite jungle setting. The bungalows are very well equipped and allow for a very comfortable stay. But the highlight is definitely its location in the wonderfully landscaped garden next to the jungle. If you're looking for a tranquil stay close to nature, this is where you'll find it. The couple who own the property are also a delight, we will return most definitely!
