Hotel central location, right by the harbour promenade, lots of restaurants but quiet surroundings. It's just good.

Nice hotel right by the harbour promenade.
If you pay extra to get a larger balcony are the possibility of views over it, in the evening, active square.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
There is a very cozy area on the roof with a bar with good views of Sitia and the harbour area. On the roof there is a pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. It is not a huge pool and there is not unlimited with sun loungers, but instantly enough for hotel guests in the high season.
Itanos hotel is like all other hotels a 'you get what you pay for' hotel. So of course, one should not expect wild luxury. However, I think you get more here than you can expect and I would definitely recommend the hotel. The hotel's central location, right by the harbour promenade, lots of restaurants and still quiet surroundings...
So that's just good.

Negative experience

Irresponsibility and lack of professionalism. We arrived at the hotel and the owner, while we had made the reservation and confirmation of the reservation the same day, told us that our room was unfortunately not empty. After about an hour of waiting we were transferred to a villa of himself outside the city and from the next day to a room that looked over the uncovered space of the building.

The focal point is the panoramic view

It is a three star hotel, simple and a bit dated. The value for money, cmq, is very good. Since the highlight is the panoramic view, we recommend booking a room on the front, on the facade overlooking the harbor, because from the terrace you can admire the main street overlooking the sea, palm trees and sunrise, with the sun rising from the mountain on the right side of the Gulf. Alternatively you can admire the view of the port and the town from the roof top with swimming pool, also a bit dated, but very pleasant. On the roof there is also a nice bar where you can enjoy a drink while admiring the view. Simple rooms, with fridge and safe. Bathroom in line with the date of construction of the hotel. Basic buffet breakfast, but sufficient. The lady at reception is not particularly keen on dealing with the public. So overall a somewhat dated hotel, with a spectacular location, with a good price.

Good location but all for listening...

We've been here before, the hotel is like four years ago. No improvements despite this are required in some places. We came right in the middle of a city party, so it wasn't so nice, purely noisy. The door to the terrace couldn't close properly and the Greeks are not a quiet crowd when there is a party The hotel is located in the middle of the square with the marina on one side and nice beach on the other. The food is good and at reasonable prices, lots of restaurants to choose from. The city of Sitia is not yet overtourised, so we will come again, but we might choose a hotel a little further away from the center!

Was recommended sitia by good friends. Was disappointed though

Small toilet o worn,very poor breakfast,Service mediocre at reception,good location ,proximity to beach o harbor
