Perfect Santorini Escape
Our stay at Santo Caves in Akrotiri was truly unforgettable. The cave-style accommodation is beautifully designed, combining traditional Santorini charm with modern comfort. Everything was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared, making it feel like a luxurious home away from home.
The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the peaceful location offers the perfect escape from the busier parts of the island. It was the ideal place to relax while still being close to Akrotiri's attractions and some of Santorini's best beaches.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always happy to offer recommendations and ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay even more special.
If you're looking for a unique and tranquil place to stay in Santorini, Santo Caves is an excellent choice. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would gladly return on our next visit.

Wonderful stay
We had a great time at Santo Caves and would definitely recommend it. As the name suggests, the room is a novelty given it’s set in a cave. It’s stylishly decorated and had the comfiest bed and pillows!
We enjoyed the location given it was near the red, white and black beaches and offered some refuge from the tourist crowds in other parts of the island.
Stavros was an amazing host - he was so friendly, hospitable and responsive. He went above and beyond in organising a number of things for us: airport and ferry transfers, quad bike hires and a sailing trip. The sailing trip was a real highlight of our trip, so we definitely recommend doing it during your stay! Thanks again Stavros!!

Really nice cave houses in a quiet neighborhood
Santo Caves is a complex of 3 typical Santorini cave houses on the hill above the village Akrotiri in a quiet neighborhood, only 400 meter to center of the village. We stayed 2 night in the smallest of them. But even so, it is really nice and not too small for a couple. There is a couch there as well, possible for a small guest to use for a night if in such needs. It have a small kichenet for making coffee or a light breakfast, and a really nice bathroom with a big shower room. Outside there is a small and nice porch in the shades.
If you are looking for a stylish nice and quiet place, away from the more crowded and vibrant tourist areas, this is it. There are busstop, car rentals, restaurants and a cocktail bar with great breakfast down in center of the village.

Beautiful cave and amazing host
We (my partner and I) stayed for 3 nights in July.
I honestly cannot thank Stavros enough. We stayed at Spilia cave and it was absolutely stunning. The atmosphere in a cave house is definitely something you should experience. The bed was super comfortable, Stavros went out of his way to buy us some food and water on our day of arrival so that we didn't have to worry about it in the morning. :)

The neighborhood Akrotiri is very calm, the few locals that we met were very friendly and so were their pets (dogs and cats).
Stavros helped us around Santorini, gave us a map marked with all the nice beaches and places we should visit. We met him on drinks at a hotel he works at in Oia and just chatting with him about numerous different topics was very interesting. He really helped us to get to know Greek people on a more personal and friendly level :)
When we left he even gave us tips on what to see in Crete, which was our next stop.
When visiting Santorini you should definitely hire a rent-a-car or a moped. The island is small and rent services cheap and this is truly the easiest way to travel around.
Near Santocaves (50m up the street) there is a small market where you can get all your necessities and you can also park your car there.
Will definitely visit his beautiful SantoCaves again if we're ever back in Santorini.
To sum it up, the apartment is gorgeous and the host is the kindest and most helpful person we have ever met.
We would recommend this apartment to everyone. It is a very unique experience to sleep in a cave house.

Amazing typical stay and very nice hosts
The typical cave apartment in Akrotiri is very nice. The apartment is very clean and the hosts are very very kind. They gave us good recommendations for our stay. The bed is as well very comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment.
Even if it’s not located in Oia or Fira we can reach every point within 15-25 min by scooter / quad / car.
