UNFORGETTABLE STAY IN SERIFO
AN ACCOMMODATION IN THE PERFECT LOCATION, ABOVE THE BEACH AND THE HARBOR WITH ALL THE SHOPS. SO CLOSE TO EVERYTHING AND SO QUIET SO THAT NOTHING WILL DISTURB YOU. VERY NICE AND FUNCTIONAL SPACE JUST ABOVE THE STAIRS TO LEIVADAKIA BEACH. IN 2 MINUTES WE ARE AT THE BEACH AND ON THE OTHER SIDE TO THE HARBOR, TO ALL THE FABULOUS SHOPS OF SHERIFF WITH A TERRIBLE VIEW, PEACE, RELAXATION AND EVERYTHING AT OUR FEET. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE OWNERS WHO, WITH THEIR BEHAVIOR, MADE US FEEL AT HOME AND COMPLETED OUR WONDERFUL STAY WITH THEIR WARMTH AND HOSPITALITY. WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND PROFESSIONALS!!!

Worst experience ever!
We had booked our stay at Cristi through booking.com, back in January 2020 for September that year, but could not go due to COVID-19. We had paid a deposit of 100 euros which was kept for two years for us to use in September this year.
All was confirmed earlier this year and 3 days before our arrival, we emailed the owner to advise of arrival time and arrange pick up from the port. No reply was received and even subsequent calls were not answered. Upon arrival at the port, there was no-one there to greet us and we had to ask the local people to tell us where the property was - we had to negotiate a very steep climb with heavy luggage in serious midday heat and when we got to the premises there was no one at the Reception and no-one was answering our telephone calls. Eventually, a friend of the owner who happened to be there managed to locate Voula who sent a cleaner to show us to what she thought was our room on the 3rd floor, with no lift!!
When we saw the room, we made an "about turn" and walked straight out. The place was so small that it was simply not fit for habitation. The bathroom was a complete joke and it is a shame we did not take any pictures at the time but we were too upset and exhausted to think straight.
We managed to get through to Voula and advised her that we were not staying there under these circumstances and would be seeking alternative accommodation, to which she agreed and asked us to inform her when we found something.
The superb people at Serifos Travel Services did not seem surprised at what we told them and found us a nice apartment in a lovely location by the port and hinted that we may get a contribution to the cost from Cristi.
Despite further calls to Voula (as well as email) she never had the courtesy to reply and kept our full deposit!
We have been travelling all over the world for over 40 years and have never come across such terrible service and attitude from a hotel owner.
Looking at other reviews of the place, ours seems to be totally different but it is an honest reflection of our experience which is certainly not in line with the fabulous Greek hospitality we have had during many years of travel in Greece.
When we spoke about Cristi to other local people, they used to politely smile and say that it was not the first time they heard such comments about the place.
My advice to anyone planning to stay there is to check the rooms very carefully before they book or preferably book somewhere else.
This is the first time we write a negative review and didn't quite enjoy it but it needs to be shared in the hope that the owner will adopt a better approach in future with customers.

Wonderful
I only stayed one night ! Exceptional hospitality!
Wonderful owner !! Room with a view to the beach and to Serifos town ! Very clean! The owner gave me shampoo extra ! Fruits !! And chocolate !
If you come to visit the island it’s a very good choice !!

Home from home.
Stayed here for 3 nights in June. Great little place,no frills but good clean rooms with fantastic views over Livadi bay and the marina. Very friendly owner.Handy use of the communal kitchen. Only 3minutes walk from the ferry. Definitely return.

Vårt första besök på Serifos och boendet var perfekt för oss. Det låg nära affär, bad , buss, restauranger och bageri.
Ett härligt boende nära färjan med en underbar terass. Vi besökte Serifos för första gången och var mycket nöjda med vår boende. Bussen upp till Chora hade hällplats nära där vi bodde. Det fanns många bra restauranger i närheten.
