Great view, awesome views

Great hotel with 17 rooms to stay some nights and visit the highlights in the area. We had front view balcony which provided spectacular views. We were lucky that there was a (classical) concert one night in the ancient theater of Philippi which was really beautiful. Breakfast was served at your table and believe me, nobody left hungry. We had dinner here twice, good honest and tasty. The staff is welcoming and friendly. When in the area again, I would certainly visit this hotel again.

GREAT!

Frankly, there are no words. What to report? Sleep quality, cleanliness in all spaces inside and outside the accommodation. Their rich and delicious breakfast! People love what they do and have created in their country and are praiseworthy. I'm not tired of going and there I feel like at home. VERY GOOD! Be your first choice!

The hotel!!!

There are no words for the hotel! Simply SUPER! Incredible hospitality, the owners are family friendly, helpful, they immediately make you feel at home, they take care of the customers one by one, they are giving, genuine Macedonians!! Spacious parking, nice warm place! Breakfast...I don't think it can easily compete with another hotel, rich, sufficient and delicious, view incredible!! Rooms spacious, spotlessly clean, with all the comforts! Daily cleaning! I can't find anything negative!! Highly recommended!

Above the old Philippi

Clean room with balcony and fantastic view over the plain. The owner and head chef spoiled us with very fine dishes made from regional ingredients and fresh fish from the nearby sea. In the morning his wife conjured up a truly exceptional breakfast. Both very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to be a guest in this hotel.

Hotel Philippeio in Krinides
We have stayed in this small but lovely hotel several times now.
It is located halfway up the mountain above the town of Krinides, not far from Kavala, and offers a very nice view of the entire valley. On the other edge of town is the Filippi archaeological site, a fairly large and interesting area.
The family that owns the Hotel Philippeio, the Germanidis family, are extremely friendly and approachable. The breakfast is plentiful and very good - no comparison to the other hotel breakfasts.
It is also worth eating in the hotel in the evening. Mr. Germanidis is an excellent cook. If you have an appetite for fish, you should clarify this the day before. Mr. Germanidis then buys the fresh produce in Kavala and serves it the next evening.
The rooms are sufficiently large and very clean. Bathrooms are directly connected to them. In general, the whole hotel makes a very well-kept impression.
We will certainly continue to stay there whenever we can.
The prices are moderate in relation to the service offered. It is advisable to book directly and not necessarily through booking.com. Mr Germanidis speaks English. Therefore, here is his email address:
