Welcoming property with a reception that is always operational.
The property is beautiful, very large, and proved to be an excellent emergency solution after the cancellation of a night flight, thanks to the 24-hour reception that accepts bookings even after midnight.
The rooms are well-kept, very clean, and equipped with all the comforts, and the breakfast is decent, although it features industrial products.
The least successful aspect is the temperature management: the room was very hot and required the continuous use of the air conditioner to cool the air. This excessive heat is also felt in the common areas, perhaps kept off because the hotel currently seems oversized compared to the actual number of guests.

Budget Friendly
Me and my partner stayed for 1 night as we were waiting for a ferry. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, they let us leave our bags in the luggage room till late at night when we had to catch our ferry. The rooms were clean we stayed in a sea view room which did not have a see view but looked out onto a block of flats. The hotel was a short walk into the centre which was packed with restaurants and bars. The hotel is around a 15 minute walk from the ferry port and bus station which was why we booked the hotel we chose to walk with our luggage but would probably recommend taking a taxi as it is very hilly around the hotel. The breakfast was standard there was a toaster and coffee machine which was nice and water was available at breakfast.

Old, tired hotel. We had to leave before breakfast, so I don’t know what that is like. Small, very hot room. Air conditioning shuts off when you leave the room.

Great location, clean rooms, good service
We booked this hotel through booking.com for one night since we were passing through Heraklion. Dimitris at the reception desk was very cordial. He checked us in, gave us all the necessary information about the room, WiFi and breakfast. Also, early next morning I went for a walk and on my way out I was offered me an espresso and water by the night shift person, although the kitchen was not open yet.
The room was very clean. Sizewise, it was average for European standards. For operating lights, AC, etc you need to insert your room card into the slot, which many hotels do to avoid running the expensive AC while you are not in the room. The room had a small refrigerator with (free) bottled water in it and a small safe, which could hold valuables, but not laptops. We were in one of the lower floors, so we could see some blue sea in the distance but not the spectacular views other visitors experienced.
The buffet breakfast (included in the price) was quite good in quality and variety. The people working in the kitchen were super polite and attentive to all our needs. There is no parking and the streets are quite small. But if you want to park your car nearby, there is a (paid) parking.
Location: this hotel is in the heart of the city. You can visit on foot (5-15 min walk) most of the attractions of Heraklion: the fort in the port (Koues), St. Titus church, Loggia, St. Markus basilica (art exhibition place), Lions' square. Also, the area has plenty of food choices.
There are certainly other and perhaps better hotels in the area, but this is an excellent value for money hotel.

Not Recommendation. From the outside it looks okay.
Once you enter the room, problems arise only apparently trivial but imply an approximation and a lack of attention to detail. And it's just details that make the difference between a good hotel and a poor one.........
The rooms do not have lights (or even) bedside tables at the side of the bed. If at night you have to go to the bathroom or wake everyone up, turning on the light in the room, or go in the dark. Only spotlights recessed into the ceiling that blind you from 3 meters.....
But do they know that there are things called abat-jour?
The bathroom has no electrical outlets.
