Stunning spot in Chania
I'm thrilled to be here in this classy and well located hotel. It's barely 10 mins to old town but feels a world away on a curve that spits out to sea. It wasn't cheap but worth it. Every staff member has been kind and warm. The breakfast is out of this world. The pool is is and being able to watch the sea from every angle including my room is a real treat

Nice hotel - rooms with balcony have beautiful views, right over the breaking waves. Very relaxing place. Easy walk to the harbor and the old town, plenty of restaurants, and the breakfast was good.

A big recommendation
I would highly recommend this hotel!
We had a wonderful stay with a breathtaking sea view. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, and everything was spotlessly clean and well organized.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The outdoor pool was beautiful and very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town, close to everything, and if you’re renting a car, there’s convenient parking available.
The breakfast was simple but absolutely delicious, and the overall quality of everything exceeded our expectations. The jacuzzi was also clean, relaxing, and very enjoyable.
A huge thank you to Sofia, Maria, and Rafael for welcoming us with warm smiles and providing exceptional service throughout our stay.

Expected more!
We spent four wonderful days at Elia Sea Suites in Chania. The excellent location of the hotel is particularly noteworthy. The old town can be reached in about ten minutes on foot, and several beaches are also easily accessible on foot.
An absolute highlight is the stunning sunset, which can be enjoyed from both the rooms and the pool. We had a room with a jacuzzi and a magnificent sea view – a truly beautiful view that made the stay special.
A small note for future guests: If possible, one should avoid room 16. Right next door is the cleaning room, which can make it quite loud in the early morning due to the cleaning service and the constant opening and closing of doors.
Unfortunately, there were also some points that significantly affected our stay. The biggest criticism is the opening hours of the pool and the pool bar. Both are only open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Those who want to swim before breakfast or enjoy a cocktail by the pool after a day at the beach have no opportunity to do so. Especially at sunset, the ambiance by the pool would be unique – but at that time, the pool is already closed and the pool bar is shut. For us, this is an absolute no-go.
Even small details have tarnished the overall impression. At times, no pool towels were available because they had already run out. The bathroom door in our room also creaked so loudly that my partner woke up every time at night because of it. Equally disturbing was the balcony lighting: It was so bright that, despite the closed curtains, it illuminated the room significantly and made restful sleep difficult.
Another downside was the breakfast room. Breakfast was served exclusively in an enclosed room. Especially in Greece, we would have greatly enjoyed starting the morning on a terrace outdoors.
Overall, the hotel scores points for its excellent location, the stunning sea view, and beautiful rooms. Given the rather high price, however, we expect more comfort and a more coherent overall concept. For us, the price-performance ratio unfortunately does not add up.
Therefore, we will not book the Elia Sea Suites again.

Beautiful boutique hotel
We stayed at Elia Sea Suites last week for 8 days. The hotel is in the perfect location as you can walk either way and be surrounded by beautiful bars and restaurants the old town is a lovely 10-15 minute costal walk to get to.
The hotel itself has stunning views of the sea and you get the most spectacular sunsets.
We were greeted with a warm welcome and when shown our room we were rather impressed. Our room had an inside hot tub overlooking the ocean.
We made use of the hot tub in our room especially to watch the sunset, however it did have it’s downside with it being in the room as it would randomly start up during the night to get to temperature!!! We were fully aware that you could request for this to be switched off by reception but to be honest after the first couple of nights we became accustomed to it!
After a couple of days of using the hot tub I noticed that it hadn’t been cleaned and it started to smell of stagnant water but as soon as this was pointed out to reception it was lovely and clean on our return from a day out.
Housekeeping were brilliant, everyday we returned to a lovely clean room with fresh robes and towels provided and our water replenished.
The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and was available until 10:30. I would like to give a huge shout out to Eva as she was so lovely, warm and friendly.
The outdoor pool is lovely, however the times available make no sense as it was only open from 11am-7pm although on one occasion it was allowed to stay open until 8pm for visiting guests from a sister hotel! It would make sense for it to be available to see the sunset as it was in the perfect location for it!
The pool area was also too small and could only accommodate about a dozen guests, and the shade was also not adequate enough!
We also had a problem with a group of what seemed local lads using the pool on the Saturday and totally ignored the reception staff when asked to leave! They only reluctantly left after a few hotel guests stood up to them and made them leave however 30 minutes later they returned mob handed but thankfully the hotel guests stood up to them once again and didn’t allow them entry! Maybe a fob system on the gate for guests only would stop this kind of thing happening.
One little treasure the hotel should be really proud of is Rafel, he looked after everyone so well around the pool. His first day was on the day we arrived but you’d have thought he’d been there forever, he was so natural, warm and welcoming and had a great sense of humour! We wish him a great season.
Even with everything said we had a fabulous time and as long as you are aware of the small issues I’ve pointed out I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would absolutely stay here again if we ever return to Chania
