A beautiful family-oriented hotel
Back from a week at this hotel, and it was magnificent. Breakfast on the rooftop is ideal for starting the day. Then a little frappe, comfortably settled on a sunbed, served with a smile by the poolside. The snack and cocktail menu is top-notch. The staff is always attentive, smiling, responsive, and consistently kind. If the hotel's rating is 3 stars, the experience from last week deserves 5 stars. The only downside is that one has to leave to go home. We will return, that is for sure. Thank you for everything.

Superweek in this lovely hotel
Just got home from another fantastic week at Contessa hotel. For the third time, and again we had a lovely time. The friendly people, the great pool, the good food and perfect service. And most of all the fantastic atmosphere! We will always come back here. Thanks to Marios, Spiros, Panos, Angela, Ellie and all the others from this great staff!

Lovely Stay
We have not long been back from an 11 night stay at the Contessa hotel, we really enjoyed our stay, the hotel and pool area was spotless, the staff were very friendly, especially the guys behind the bar and Ramona. The rooms were cleaned daily. Yes the pool is slightly shaded, however we did not find this an issue at all, there were still plenty of sunbeds in the sun. There was plenty to chose from for breakfast, the food from the pool bar was also lovely, Thank you.

Spotless hotel but noisy!
We stayed for 1 week during May half term.
I emailed ahead asking for a quiet room facing the pool and this was granted. (We had booked a premium room with pool view ).
The receptionists are very friendly and always happy to help.
The housekeeping team do an amazing job everything is spotless and clean. They even hose the pool area and wipe sunbeds down daily. All staff are welcoming.
On entering our room we thought we'd been given a family room by mistake because the bunkbeds were made up.
The next morning I went to reception and asked for them to be folded down. They fold into a lovely chaise sofa giving you a little extra space.
The fridge is incorporated into the wardrobe and I think the compressor may not be working properly because it hummed the whole night even when turned down.
We had to pay €10 euro per day for aircon and €15 euros for the safe plus tourist tax.
There was a large family around the pool daily who took up a whole corner of the pool area, they were very noisy and had no consideration for other guests.
The music around the pool was very loud.
The pool was full of inflatables so it wasn't possible to enjoy a proper swim.
This was our 2nd stay at the Contessa and 3rd in Argassi.
The bars and restaurants are close by and all serve lovely food.
Avalon do some very tasty cocktails.
If you want peace and quiet then don't go in school holidays.
We walked down to Skyfall beach bar everyday for peace and relaxation.
Skyfall is a family run beach bar with free sunbeds and a small very inviting swimming pool. They also serve amazing food and drinks and are so welcoming.

Regarding the bunk beds, all of our Premium Rooms are designed to accommodate families as well as couples. The bunk beds can be folded away to create a comfortable chaise sofa and additional living space, as our reception team arranged for you.
We are sorry to hear that the refrigerator noise disturbed your sleep. Had we been informed during your stay, our maintenance team would have been happy to inspect it and resolve the issue if necessary.
With regard to the air conditioning and safe charges, these are clearly stated on the booking platforms and by tour operators before booking, as they are optional services available to guests who wish to use them.
As for the atmosphere around the pool, May half-term is indeed a popular period for families travelling with children. While we strive to create an enjoyable environment for all guests, the hotel welcomes families and activity levels can naturally be higher during school holiday periods. The pool music is intended to create a lively holiday atmosphere, although we appreciate that preferences vary from guest to guest.
We are pleased that you enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel and the many restaurants, bars, and attractions nearby. It is also wonderful to hear that you found a relaxing spot at Skyfall Beach Bar during your stay.
