Medium standard hotel room at great price

Norwegian couple who spent three nights at the hotel. Room on the ground floor without window, clamped and with leakage in the bathroom. Air conditioning worked well, the price was favorable. Strict price for drinks in the restaurant. Fantastic view located on 1m wide beach line. Longitudinal.

Awful.

Upon check in we were informed that terrace bar wasn’t open until the next day, but we were told that the pool bar was open and we were welcome to use that. We checked into a triple room with sea view (the view was beautiful) extremely dated room but couldn’t fault its cleanliness. There was a fridge and a brand new kettle (we had emailed to see if there was one before we left home, and was told there wasn’t one). We dropped our bags and went straight down to investigate the pool and grab a drink. When we got down to pool level we were greeted by workmen, tools, dust and a pool bar which was not open to guests as it was being renovated. We couldn’t get water or anything to eat. The bar manager offered us a can of beer at no charge, and said we could use the sun beds but the pool wasn’t finished. In the evening we encountered issues with the shower as the fixing that holds the shower head was actually fitted upside down and wouldn’t hold the shower in place. I went to reception to report this and see if there was anything that could be done (the bathroom was small and there really was no room to hold the shower whilst trying to wash). A gentleman came to reception after two separate attempts at ringing the bell for assistance. He came to the room with his drill and adjusted the fitting. Only when it came to getting in the shower did we realise the shower head was fixed in place and once the water was turned on, it didn’t even land in the shower tray, it went straight down the toilet! I went to reception for a third time but nobody answered the bell. Come bed time, the beds were rock hard (maybe that was a personal preference) and we only only had one pillow each. As it was past midnight the reception wasn’t manned so we were unable to request more. By the morning I had already decided that we would need to find alternative accommodation. 100% would NOT stay here again.

Disappointment

When we booked it in the spring, it was rated 9.8, but when we traveled at september it was only 6.7. The pictures must have been taken a long time ago. We didn't get the room we booked, they said it was better, but it wasn't nice either. The mattress was moldy, the bathroom had limescale, the window was broken. The bathroom cleaning was incomplete. When it rained, the water stood in the gutters. We chose this hotel because it had breakfast, but it was below par. The same breakfast for a week. There was no heating, so everything was cold. 1 type of meat the whole week, some bad quality ham. We always had to ask for cutlery because there wasn't any.

Not good

This hotel looks lovely on the photos and no doubt was,it's run down with a couldn't care less attitude,we had breakfast which what ever was left was served up the day after burnt croissants ( in the same tin served up day after day.on the Sunday was a cake by Friday crumbs left ..shocking .the lawnmower was just dumped in a corner.and the Brollys for sunbathing were non existent.they had all their family there for the last 2 days and we felt we shouldn't of been there .this was our 9th time in Zante and after this experience we will not be returning.such a shame as we loved this island .but this hotel and the people have lost the island 2 people who will not return
