Magnificent
Impeccable welcome
Spacious top-floor room with ceiling beams, large windows, Italian shower, separate toilet, high-quality bedding, and a terrace equipped with a hammock, a table, and 2 chairs, overlooking the mountain. The room is impressive and modern.
The breakfast is perfect with homemade apricot or cranberry bread, regular and flaky brioche, assorted cold cuts, and various fruits including blueberries . The dining area has a beautiful mountain style.
And what can be said about the spa? A pool with the possibility of swimming against the current, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and outdoor bath. The sauna is ultra clean and very well arranged.
The staff is excellent.
Parking spaces ️ in front of the hotel .
Hiking trails such as Lac Blanc and Lac Noir are nearby within a 10 km radius.
One last thing, the road in front of the hotel is busy, so during the day you can hear the cars on the terrace, but at night the soundproofing is perfect.

Hotel worthy of a 4-star rating
High-end hotel with very nice amenities: restaurant, spa, decor, gym with a view of nature, etc.
We were on a half-board plan and everything was perfect, from the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the dishes offered at the restaurant, as well as the design of the hotel.
Special mention to the Spa for its very high-quality massage.

Very poor reception by a woman at the front desk
We arrived on a Friday in mid-August 2026 and simply wanted to have a drink on the terrace but also to inquire about potentially booking a room for this autumn for a relaxing weekend. We just didn't know if the establishment accepted dogs (we have a cocker spaniel). The two gentlemen at the reception were friendly but they went to ask if the dog was allowed. A blonde lady appeared and in a very dry and chilling tone she made us understand that even on the terrace we could not have a drink because animals are not welcome even outside. That did not make us want to ask for more information for another time. It is a great shame because we would have come for a weekend without our dog if we had been spoken to in a kind and polite tone. The dry and aggressive tone of this woman did not fit with this cozy and quiet place. Too bad. We will go spend weekends elsewhere in the Vosges... but not here!

Votre témoignage ne correspond à aucune expérience dans notre établissement.
Concernant les chiens, ils ne sont pas acceptés. Ni en chambre, ni en terrasse, ni au restaurant,.
Nous sommes un chalet en bois. Une trace laissée par un animal imprègne le bois du parquet et attire le suivant.
C'est un choix, par respect pour le confort et l'hygiène de tous nos clients.
Finalement au lieu d'inventer une mauvaise expérience, il suffisait de dire la vérité le refus des chiens vous a contrarié.

A stay with mixed feelings...
We spent two nights in this establishment and to tell you the truth, our opinion is very mixed...
On one hand, it is a very beautiful hotel well located a few kilometers from the Schlucht pass, recently renovated and expanded in a very mountain style and with all the comforts. The services offered are of good quality, the dining room is spacious and allows everyone to have their own little corner of privacy. Everything seems made for spa lovers, which we are not. In the 16-page welcome booklet in the room, 14 pages are about the treatments offered at the spa, that says it all...
But...
The staff is professional, available, but totally cold. No small talk about what we did with our days, no advice on walks. Amusing detail: while the source of the Meurthe river is 400m from the hotel and this source gives its name to the hotel's spa, no one knew where this source was located...
We had booked a "cocoon" room for two. The view is unremarkable (a metal roof and nearby fir trees). We quickly understood on site that cocoon meant tiny (at $185 a night, nonetheless!). The room is a large double bed with 50 cm of space around it to move, and a bathroom/shower/toilet where two people cannot fit together.
The restaurant only offers a "set menu" option with a choice of 4 appetizers and 4 main courses, with no daily special. So we don't have much choice, especially if we stay for several days. What's more, the options offered are quite specific: a vegan dish (for those who like it) and a venison dish (which is not the choice of many). No beef, no veal... Furthermore, the preparation of the dishes is oriented towards "flashiness" more than taste. For example, a duckling with orange bathing in tons of orange foam: it was orange with a few meager pieces of duckling. And what about the venison with "grand veneur" sauce, which I found bland (the sauce is served on the side, but since the meat has no taste - curious for venison - you rush to drown it in the sauce). Another example regarding dessert: pear in wine with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We do have three small pieces of pear in wine and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but all of it is drowned in a layer of... I don't really know what kind of milk mousse that makes up 70% of the mass on the plate... I ate my three pieces of pear and the vanilla ice cream and left most of the Gloubi-Boulga that came with it.
The wine list is... surprising. It is extensive and diverse, with some good finds and prices that remain reasonable by the bottle. Note that 80% of the wine list consists of organic or "biodynamic" wines, which limits the presence of many renowned wines. Note the excessive price of wine by the glass (priced at 1/3 the price of the bottle for the most affordable ones!).
Finally, the "breakfast" is presented as "gargantuan" at a price of €19 per person, or €38 for a couple. Not for us, as we are satisfied with a coffee, croissant, and orange juice, priced at less than €18 for two people in central Paris where we live. But at Le Collet, there is no choice: it's the big feast or nothing.
In the end, we left quite disappointed with this place, which is expensive for the region and, in our opinion, does not offer what it should.

Merci pour ce long inventaire à la Prévert… Nous sommes malgré tout ravis que vous ayez trouvé quelques qualités à notre établissement entre deux reproches.
Pour le personnel « froid », il faut croire qu’il s’adapte parfois à la clientèle qu’il reçoit… mais rassurez-vous, nous allons prendre les choses en main …nous organiserons prochainement une petite sortie pédagogique avec toute l’équipe pour lui apprendre où se trouve la source de la Meurthe et lui faire réviser les principaux sites touristiques des Hautes -Vosges.
Quant au reste, « chambre cocon, menu, petit-déjeuner, mousse et Gloubi-Boulga »nous comprenons parfaitement que tout ne puisse pas plaire à tout le monde.
Nous vous souhaitons néanmoins de trouver, lors de votre prochain séjour, un établissement parfaitement à la hauteur de vos attentes… et surtout une équipe suffisamment chaleureuse pour vous accompagner dans vos découvertes.

Pleasant setting, disappointing restaurant.
The hotel is superb, the room magnificent, the spa quite nice, and the pool a bit chilly.
The downside of the weekend was the restaurant in the evening, a total disappointment, with wine served out of sync with the dishes, and to top it off, a plate made up of fatty pieces with a reheated endive for 26 euros for the endive! Needless to say, the bill is steep and you leave feeling unsatisfied! The selection of three dishes was already complicated between fish mousseline, calf liver, and pork ribs, or even beet carpaccio... Disappointing given the standard!

J’écris le même gribouillis sur Google, puis je crée un compte TripAdvisor que plus personne ne regarde sous un autre pseudo niveau CE1 pour poursuivre la distribution des sentences. J’ai regardé votre passif sur Google (pardon à mon cerveau ) même les McDonald's finissent sur le banc des accusés.
Il faut tout de même en tenir une sacrée couche pour partir en croisade gastronomique contre un menu Best Of.
Au fond, vos jugements n'ont jamais été guidés par l'envie de connaître les gens, mais plutôt par le besoin de leur nuire. C'est une conception du monde. La mienne repose davantage sur le travail, l'abnégation, l'envie de bâtir même imparfaitement parfois et le fait d'avoir fait naître quarante emplois bien réels. Car construire quelque chose, aussi fragile ou inachevé soit-il, demandera toujours plus de courage que détruire derrière un écran.
Ce qui reste, c'est la franchise. Les regards qu'on assume. Les paroles dites en face. Et parfois même les silences, ils ont plus de dignité que certaines petites attaques anonymes.
