SUPERB FROM START TO FINISH
From the moment we booked until the day we left, Juliette's communication was excellent. Every question was answered promptly, making everything effortless from start to finish.
On arrival we received the warmest of welcomes from Valérie, Juliette's lovely mum, who immediately made us feel at home.
Two couples each celebrating our 40th wedding anniversaries. We were touched to be presented with a bottle of champagne and the most beautiful champagne glasses to drink it from – such a thoughtful and generous gesture. We enjoyed it sitting in the beautiful garden.
The château itself is breathtaking. Luxurious surroundings, elegant period features and a truly regal atmosphere made us feel like a king and queen for the night. Our bed was exceptionally comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep.
Breakfast was another highlight. Gentle period music played in the background while Valérie served a delicious spread of fresh orange juice, wonderful french bread with proper butter, cheese spread and homemade jams, tea and coffee. Greek yoghurt and strawberries. But the pièce de résistance was the freshly made scrambled eggs – absolutely perfect.
What makes Castel des Anges truly special, however, was Valérie. We arrived as strangers but left feeling like friends.
Thank you, Juliette and Valérie, for making our anniversary so memorable. We will most definitely be back!
