Sharing happiness

First of all upon arrival we are excited by the beauty of the place and the quality of the welcome. Very nice room and very well maintained. We also enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast very much. We will be back with great pleasure.

Boarding house room

We paid 134€/night for a standard room 6 months ago (it is August and we booked in February). The room had spider webs, the window had not been cleaned in months, you shower over the floor (there is no shower tray or screen), there is no AC (summer at over 35°), the bathroom door hits the bed, there is no minibar, no bottle of water, no water heater, and there is no telephone in the room either (if you need help or to contact the front desk you have to go there). It is a boarding house room. We conveyed our dissatisfaction to the receptionist and she told us that we had paid for standard, and that she would refund our money so we could go to another hotel, that she could send someone to clean the room (while we want to rest), but not change it for us.

Mix of genres.

A one-night stopover in a very beautiful region. Room okay, nothing more; cleaning of the bathrooms approximate, no AC but a fan that does the job. Dinner with few choices but good, in buffet form for a very reasonable price. But we did not like at all that the pool was shared with a campsite and/or vacation center. Tranquility and rest after a long day of driving until 4:30 PM, then a sudden influx of families from the campsite after their activities ended. Abrupt end to the rest.
I perfectly understand that this hotel is part of a family leisure group, but that should be specified on booking sites.

Disappointed

3-night stay at the Hotel des Bains: a rather disappointing experience.
We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel des Bains and we are quite disappointed.
First of all, the room is really very small, with only one outlet next to the bed. The bathroom is also tiny. The room feels more like a hotel where one spends a night before catching a flight than a place at €150 a night (breakfast included for two). At that rate, we expected much better.
The television is also very small and does not allow for using Netflix or installing other applications. In 2026, it is still a shame.
The breakfast buffet, on the other hand, was very varied and of good quality; we really appreciated it. However, a small downside: on the third day, we had to fill the coffee maker ourselves and empty the used capsules. Additionally, around 9 AM, several tables were not cleared or cleaned, which forced us to look for a clean table to sit at.
Another point to know: the pool and the pétanque court are shared with the neighboring vacation village. If you think you will enjoy a pool reserved only for hotel guests, that is not the case. You end up with the vacationers from the village, including many groups of teenagers. It might have been nice if hotel guests could also benefit from the activities offered by the vacation village.
Finally, the extra charge for our dog surprised us. I had seen that it was €12, but I thought it was for the entire stay. In reality, it is €12 per night, which represents a significant cost, especially since cleaning was only done at the end of the stay.
In total, we paid nearly €500 for 3 nights. The issue is not the price itself, but the fact that the services are, in our opinion, not up to what the hotel suggests.
On the other hand, the staff was very kind and welcoming.

Staff were really nice and helpful, mainly trying to find solutions for the issue we reported with the bedroom. Easy to park.
While it seems clean in general, the smell in the bedroom (mainly in the second/small bedroom) was really awful. It is maybe humidity/mold or something coming from the air conditioning system. The 3 of us ended up sleeping in the same bed as my son refused to sleep in the smelly bedroom. Thankfully we only stayed for one night!
