Great stop over in lovely location
Small fantastic hotel right next to the beach.Lots of small out buildings and grassy areas.Perfect for a stop over on route south
Bar was expensive £8 a pint
Rooms comfortable,incredible location and friendly staff.

Expensive broom cupboard
We booked a double room for 1 night in June at a cost of 177 euro, we arrived, paid an extra 18 euro each for breakfast and went to our room.
When you consider this to be a high end hotel we were extremely disappointed with our room, it was in the attic and was the size of a broom cupboard , even if you were to have a single bed in the room instead of a double, you would still not be able to walk upright around both sides of the bed.
The bathroom was adequate, the draw down blind in the ceiling window was far to high to reach to close it night time, the window in the roof over the bed did not close properly.
The grounds of the hotel looked ok, the grass was cut but no flower bed maintenance had been carried out in a long time, there were various facilities, the pool looked good, but the tennis courts had no nets and looked unused in years, the place is starting to look very tired.
Breakfast was disappointing, the scrambled eggs had been on a hot plate for a long time and turned to rubber, for 18 euro each it was extremely poor, perhaps if you arrive at 7 am for first service everything would be perfect, we arrived at 8.45, and breakfast ends at 9.30, and we didn’t see any items being restocked during our time there, at 9.15 the cleaners hover around waiting to tidy up, could they not wait until 9.30?
Overall not a pleasant stay , very expensive for such a tiny room , we have complained and expecting at the hotel on response as there was no one of authority Monday morning.

Surprisingly good!
Great short break at this seaside resort. We really enjoyed our time here and were pleasently surprised by how nice our rooms and the grounds were for a 3 star hotel. Great value and a really superb location! Only improvement could be the pool. The pool deck is in need of repar and the pool was a bit dirty both in the water quality and the bottom with a liner that looked like it had reached the end of life. Unfortunately, I cut my foot on a sharp piece of crack concrete in the pool area.
Other than that a perfect stay. Breakfast was also really yummy and well worth the 18euro fee.

Le Cap Hornu
The hotel is in a beautiful setting. There is not much within near vicinity but a beautiful 30 minute walk to local restaurants.
We had booked a premium room so we were very disappointed with our room. It was tiny, so could not imagine how small a standard room was. We felt we were not given the correct room, but as nobody on reception spoke English and our French was limited had to accept this but be aware of this when you book, as the rooms on line do not match what you get. The room was very dusty and the bathroom shower grouting was dirty.
The breakfast was buffet style and was good. They do not provide lunch, although you can order teas or coffees.
There is a pool, we did not use it but our friends said the water was freezing!
The scenery is stunning but would probably not return to this hotel.

Impersonal / cool
Constantly changing staff so there are misunderstandings. In the morning the receptionist promised us a room in another building. In the afternoon, the other persons knew nothing. Room with stairs to the sleeping area. Downstairs the bathroom and toilet. Just a velux as a window. Restaurant was full but around 9 pm there was a small group eating. The domain / pool / location is beautiful. Breakfast nice but again no personal welcome and cool service.
