Good food
Excellent location with amazing sea views
Booked a table early that evening but took ages to get a table but the sea front tables were all empty ?

Perfect!!!
Arriving at 7:15 PM without a reservation on a Friday night in the middle of the season, we were lucky that they could offer us a table. A bit of a wait, but that's normal, it was very crowded, the dining rooms were full. The servers are great. Appetizers ordered: a fabulous octopus salad with black garlic and a wonderful foie gras. For main courses: a Norman burger (perfectly cooked meat), a thick, golden fish and chips with translucent fish, and a very good shrimp parmesan risotto. The only complaint: so hearty that we couldn't finish everything and had no room for dessert! We had tried this restaurant before and were disappointed; knowing that the owner had changed, we tried it again, and it was a very good idea! We will be back...

Le Clos Normand: close but no cigar.
We were at this hotel for 2 nights.
Very positive is the location: right on the dike.
All the wait staff were super friendly.
Positive is the size of the room (double bed and lounge) with side sea view.
The sanitary facilities are less so. The bathroom has a sink and a small shower so the head nozzle is almost against the glass, not comfortable. The toilet has the same sink but the toilet itself is super close to the door, to be easy the door should stay open... and: the toilet seat is a click-on system: I had that loose in my hands and thought I had broken it. Maybe a good system for youth camps, but inappropriate here.
Also not great: acoustically too little insulating, even between rooms.
Breakfast in buffet form was just enough varied, but the baguette can be taken literally: thin and hard as a branch for a wood frame.
We dined once and chose their Dish Fruits de Mer, after all we are in the region for this. Their own specialty, according to themselves. Some oysters nr5 was ok; pink shrimp, not local, were quite tasteless; the langoustines and whelks, well local I suppose, were cooked faintly; the crab was tasty (and copious). BUT: we ordered an extra half a lobster ... it was obviously way overdue: stank of incipient decomposition and tasted bwèègg-spit-disgusted.
The partron apologized (only after going to the kitchen with it for a second opinion) and immediately offered to give a new one. However, our food was completely over, so no thanks. Then a digestive to make up for it? Also no thank you, we want to get away from this table.
The next morning I got a delicious baristo-prepared latté machiato.
The neighborhood: St Aubin is not big, heading west you are quickly walked out but east it is worth to walk one to the next villages.
In the whole: certainly quiet picturesque place by the sea, free from noisy nightlife.

This beach hotel is located right at the beach. We only stayed there one night and because of the tides, we didn´t get to swim.
We were travelling two adults and two children and we had a combined room with two double beds. All good.
The restaurant was nice, good food and very popular. There is an outdoor space adjacent to the lobby, which is a nice chill-out place with tables and sofas.
We were driving an electric car and the hotel offers two charging points behind a gate (22 kW), which meant that we could recharge to a 100 %. Very convenient.

A banal offering of mediocre cuisine devoid of passion.
An "assaulting" welcome, service that was too fast just to get rid of the customer quickly, and a goodbye from the "manager" with his head down counting the cash register...
