Excellent stay for a week
A warm welcome, a quiet and idyllic setting, a comfortable room, delicious breakfasts with homemade bread and cakes and, what's more, valuable advice for healthy eating: everything has been brought together in this Guest house for us to have a wonderful stay in Brittany. A big thank you, Evelyn for so much kindness and concern. Florence and Hervé Aubert from Bordeaux.

For want of better
The house is quiet on the road between Auray and Saint Anne.
Welcoming is pleasant but the room no longer meets current standards: carpeted floor, blanket (not duvet), armchairs out of age. The spacious and independent bathroom dates from another time: thick carpet on the floor, shower hose impossible to hold alone...
As for the breakfast, it is unusual: homemade vegetable milk pancake (with demonstration). No fresh bread, no fruit, no fresh juice, no yogurt.
What bothered me the most: the absence of a key on the door of the room; we must accept that anyone can enter the room day or night. When you are alone, it is not reassuring.

Outdated room
Old-fashioned bed and breakfast, the decoration has not changed for at least 30 years, lack of keys on the bedroom doors, even if we trust our neighbors.
Please, Mrs Evelyne, remove all these dusty artificial flowers.

En aucun cas je me permettrais de juger l'intérieur de votre logement , madame.
Nous avons encore cette liberté de choisir la décoration de notre lieu de vie.

The whole thing was generally positive but it is nevertheless necessary to point out a few small technical anomalies noted by a former tourism professional, namely (non-exhaustive list): The parking lot is not enclosed and therefore not secure. I had to park my car under the trees next to a tractor. It rained at night. Results: in the morning, my car was studded with small leaves and twigs stuck to all the bodywork and windows, which could only be removed after 2 visits to the CARREFOUR Market Laundry. No television in the room. No key to lock the bedroom door. Difficulty adjusting the shower mixer. Insufficient pressure to have a comfortable shower. Impossible to use the shower head in rain to rinse your head (no support). Impossible to put the shampoo or shower gel, unless there is a risk of slipping in the tray (no soap dish). No shower gel, no shampoo. The towels were not changed for 5 days. Dodgy-looking toothglasses. It would be wise to provide single-use cardboard toothbrushes. A single opened roll of toilet paper in the toilet. Luckily I had what I needed in my car.!!! Not a teaspoon for breakfast but a tablespoon!! To review !! Presence of mold on the joints of the shower tray. The toilet bowl is very scaled, in any case, not scrubbed for years.
No fresh orange juice for breakfast but lukewarm apple juice.
Madame Evelyne, these are not remarks made to cause harm!
Simply a summary of the anomalies noted by an honest mystery shopper who has stayed in your house. In any event you have not disputed the remarks.

What a Farce
The only reason I have given a one star is because the place does actually exist.
May 2018 we booked via email a few days before we were due in France and received confirmation direct from the owner along with it being acceptable to pay in cash on arrival due to the short period before the booking. I have to say at this point that we were a little surprised that we would be unable to book in before 5pm which meant we were in the area some 5 hours before this. At 5pm we went to the site and said we had a booking. She asked our name and said it was full up and she had no room. I showed her the email in which she had confirmed our booking and at this stage her English became none existent. With a shrug of her shoulders she just kept saying “complete”.
With myself age 70 and my wife 66 this left us with no where to stay at 5 pm and virtually every bit of accommodation full due to it being a bank holiday week end in France. To be honest I don’t believe this accommodation is somewhere anyone should consider booking if they want somewhere to stay without great disappointment and inconvenience.
