The hotel’s location is great. It’s a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame and Ste. Chappelle. The area is safe and convenient to Metro and bus lines.
We had a triple room on the 5th floor. Everything was clean, in good condition, and relatively spacious for an old French hotel room. Bonus was a balcony! The bathroom was large and had good soap and hair care products. Housekeeping was very good and came every day. Air conditioning was great, like an American would like! Breakfast was very good. The property is well-kept.
I think this hotel is much nicer than most of the 3-star hotels in France. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a traditional French hotel.

Hotel in a good location

The hotel location is really good. Two metro stations nearby, Jussiu and Cardinal Lemoine. The room was clean and cleaned regularly. The room was quite small but it was easy to fit suitcases in. The beds were really good. The only negative thing was that there was no hot water in the shower. We stayed for a week and one evening the shower had lukewarm water. We pointed this out but nothing could be done. If more than one person in the hotel takes a shower, there is not enough hot water and the water pressure is not sufficient. The air conditioning worked well and the breakfast was limited but it filled us up.

Dirty, damaged and very disappointing!

Accommodations were dirty, and damaged. Reception was unhelpful. Request for room change refused. Request for partial refund of four night prepaid stay refused. Left within an hour to alternative hotel found online that had availability.
Much, much better.
Ended up paying for both hotels due to the extremely poor conditions at hotel Quartier Latin and complete lack of accountability for the unacceptable condition of the room provided.
I strongly recommend you avoid this hotel and stay elsewhere!

Great location. Room was very small for 2 people but the bed was very comfortable. Excellent soundproofing when windows closed from the noise of the café across the street.

Extremely Disappointing — Would Not Recommend!

Horrible experience! The room we were given was dirty, neglected, and nothing like the photos online. The front desk employee was unpleasant and at times outright rude.
We booked this hotel based on many positive reviews, but our room was filthy, with multiple holes in the walls, bathroom tiles that were broken and falling off, and several other general maintenance issues. The issue was not the age of the building or the size of the room — we fully understand what to expect in Europe. The problem was the lack of basic cleanliness and upkeep.
We raised our concerns with the front desk. She told us to wait in the room while she looked into options. After about half an hour, she called to say that although other rooms were available, they would not be offering us a different one as "they are all the same". She dismissed our concerns by saying “it’s Europe”, which had nothing to do with the issues we reported.
Even though we had paid for multiple nights, we left immediately and booked another hotel at our own expense. It was the only reasonable option given the condition of the room.
The location is good, but that doesn’t make up for the inability to sleep comfortably or stay in a clean, maintained space. Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking this hotel.
