Lots of charm
The staff is available and pleasant, the bedding comfortable, the rooms are tastefully furnished and very clean. I recommend this hotel.

Not a four-star - a few little problems
At the time of booking, I had requested a room with separate beds, a request that had been accepted. At the time of check-in, the receptionist confirmed that a room with separate beds had been assigned. Entering the room, however, I noticed that the bed, although composed of two singles, had been prepared as a double. When I pointed this out, they told me at the reception that unfortunately there were no rooms available. I decided that I could survive for one night and decided not to accept the breakfast offered as compensation for the inconvenience (I would have had to leave early the next morning, so I would not have been able to take advantage of it).
If there had been nothing else, the review could have been even more positive, but when I lay down on the bed, I noticed a stain on the sheet. The sheet also had a noticeable hole. Furthermore, there were crumbs near the nightstand, a sign of poor and rather superficial cleaning, not adequate for a 4-star hotel.
I do not recommend this hotel and I will certainly not choose this property in the future.

Nice hotel but not great in hot weather
I will preface this review by saying: we were there during an incredibly intense heat wave mid-June. However, I think this review will apply to anyone considering staying during any type of hot weather (85 degrees F/30 degrees C or hotter perhaps). The air conditioning at this hotel can not keep up with the hot weather. We arrived on a 106 degree day to find out that the hotel's air conditioning was broken. Ok, these things can happen in heat waves but when I asked for a fan, they said they tried that day to buy some but they were sold out. Why do they not already have a fan for every room in reserve? Really poor planning. Our rooms were unbelievably hot of course. They said there is a problem hotel-wide with the air conditioner and they would have a technician out the next day. That night was miserable and opening the windows did nothing because it was even hotter (90 degree plus) outside. And no fan. In the morning I caught the front desk person to ask what the progress was and he said "Oh! Your room too? Let me have your keys so I can give them to the repairman who has already checked on the air conditioning" As if the entire hotel wasn't without AC! Thank god we caught him at that moment or they may never have even checked on our room. Later that day, the temperature in our room was better (thank god) but I would describe the air conditioning during the next 3 days as barely keeping up. The lobby is cooled but the other common areas (stairwells, elevator, hallways are not) so it always felt warm as your walked through the hotel. A hotel needs to be a respite during hot days. This was not.
In other ways (and in the non-summer months) I think this hotel could be great: the location is excellent and close to a metro stop, the breakfast buffet was ample and well stocked, I appreciated the in-room fridge and the bottles of water they kept within, the decor is fun, and it's very clean. I discovered however (bringing linen clothes and hoping to do a quick iron of them) that the hotel only has 2 irons (according to the front desk) and you would need to wait until another room returned theirs (what?!). Also, if you have a room with a tub--it is an incredibly high entry into the tub/shower and not suited for anyone with mobility issues.
We had high hopes for this 4 star hotel but it wasn't the right hotel for the summer. Just across the street is Hotel Monte Cristo--another 4 star hotel, this one with a pool, so even if their ac is inadequate, more chances of cooling off.

Small Budget Friendly Hotel in Paris
This is a small hotel in the 5th. If doing business in the 5th or looking for a no fringe economic hotel this is a good choice. Location is excellent to the metro. Rooms are quite small but clean. Breakfast is available, small selection but ok. No bar or restaurant but plenty of options on the street.
