Highly recommend
Very pleased we chose this hotel.
- Button operated blinds on the patio door kept the room cool, dark and provided excellent soundproofing from the busy road
-modern and simple room decor
- very comfortable bed
- drinks fridge kept beers and a bottle of fizz from the supermarket cold for balcony drinks (they stock plastic wine flutes at the shop too!)
- small but not tiny room that had enough space and storage for us (a couple)
- kettle and tea/coffee in the room if you wanted it
- glasses provided and you can drink the tap water
- bathroom modern, large rainfall shower with a handheld attachment
- cleaners friendly and efficient
-balcony gets the morning sun and provides a beautiful view of the sea and promenade and palm trees. We saw a firefly!
- breakfast times suited as perfectly, believe it was 7.30-9.30 and you can also request a continental breakfast in your room
- the breakfast buffet provides excellent choice and value. Omelette, pastries, fruit, toast, bacon, plus meats and cheeses and juices
- 15 min walk to the old town. The number 8 bus stops right outside, we visited les sablettes beach club one day and it was very hot. We walked there but got the bus back (air conditioned)
- we dropped our suitcases off as we arrived before check in, allowing us to get our holiday started from arriving in Menton
-the Xpress coach from the airport is easy to find, runs every 30 mins and drops right outside the back of the hotel. It’s cheap, but did take over 2 hours due to Monaco traffic
- menton train station is less than 10 mins walk away. Use the SNFC app to skip the machine queues and remove the need to validate your paper ticket. 12.80 euro return to Nice. We travelled to Villefranche-sur-Mer one day and it was so easy on departure day we took the train back to the airport. We used a baggage drop at a hotel 2 mins walk from Nice railway station charging 5 euro a bag to enjoy Nice’s promenade before continuing on for our flight home
- excellent whirlpool and loungers on the roof with towels. It was lovely to spend an hour or so reading a book on a lounger and having a quick dip without needing to trek anywhere or commit to a plan. I understand you can use the phone next to the sofa to order drinks from the bar in the lobby. There is no cost but you can book in and pay for spa treatments
- you can extend your checkout time to 1pm for a small fee, which we did
- lots of bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk
- friendly and helpful staff, always said bonjour and bonsoir to us
- front door after a certain time is room card only access which I liked for safety
- I read higher floors are better. We were only floor 2 and stayed when it was very hot and peak season. We were not bothered by traffic noise and still had a stunning view.
Considering this hotel is 3 star, I’d class it as excellent value for money and we had a fantastic stay.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The view to the sea is spectacular. Very good breakfast. The beach is just outside and the hotel is in walking distance to the center of Menton and many great restaurants. The staff was very nice and helpful. A special thanks to Svitlana, who was always extraordinary sweet and helpful. We would love to return.

Not a 4-star.
the hotel is in no way a 4-star establishment, no products in the bathroom, very simple room
I requested a duvet, and I was brought a duvet and the sheet next to it; I had to make my own bed, basically no service

We had a great stay at this hotel for our minimoon. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the hotel was very quiet and always clean. We had a sea view room which we would highly recommend. As other reviews have mentioned, it was about a 20-25 min walk to the old town but there are plenty of bars and restaurants closer by / en route so this wasn’t an issue for us. The train station was a 10 min walk away. There was also a fridge in the room which we found useless to have our own drinks in the room. The only reason we’ve marked it down on amenities is that the whirlpool on the roof terrace wasn’t working during our stay but we just used the sea instead!
