The hotel was exceptional in their assistance! When roaming stopped working, they promptly gave me the password without hesitation. Their prompt and thoughtful customer service made the stay enjoyable. Advised!

Coffin with a view of chaos

The place is in a rather poorly frequented area, right next to the casino and just behind the railway.
A short distance away is the paid covered parking of the station, which is actually very convenient. It is advisable to park on level -2, because the exit is on the street leading to the hotel, with no stairs or steps, making it accessible even with trolleys.
The manager is kind and helpful, but the place itself is absolutely not worth the cost.
The room was tiny, with not even a wardrobe for clothes, just a niche in the wall. At least there was nothing to complain about the bed; it was clean and had an excellent mattress.
The air conditioning in the tiny room broke down in the afternoon, turning the room into a crematory oven.
The only solution was to open the window, which offered a panoramic view of the unfortunate combo of construction workers and Chinese.
Right below the window was the roof full of trash from the Chinese restaurant, with seagulls wrestling among the remains of meals, spreading a constant stench of spring rolls and dumplings.
Next to the roof was what once was the hotel balcony, now used by the construction workers as a support point, dump, and construction site for the facade renovation work.
From that opening into the chaos came the heat, the noise of the street, the noise of the trains, the sound of the concrete mixer, and the curses in Ugandan from the construction workers.
At night, the only choice was between not sleeping due to the heat with the window closed, or not sleeping due to the noise from the street.
In the morning, we were awakened by the shouts of "Le dieu maial!" "Le dieu maial!" from a leftover from the previous night, high and completely drunk, wandering the street insulting the streetlights and burping at the spare tire of an SUV parked there.
The wifi was pure theory. In the morning, it worked intermittently, but in the evening, absolutely not: the phone detected the network, tried to connect, was rejected, tried to connect again, was rejected again, and so on.
Every now and then, randomly, it would connect for a minute or so before being kicked off again. Either you have a contract that includes international roaming, or you have to resign yourself to spending all your connection on roaming.
It is advisable to go eat at a Chinese restaurant just to get the password for their Wi-Fi and use that (it even reaches the room).
The bathroom was a masterpiece of sadism.
Even for me, who has a normal build, it was practically unmanageable due to how small it was. A robust person simply cannot fit in there physically.
To wash myself, I had only a sink wedged in a space narrower than my shoulders, to the point that I literally had to squeeze in sideways.
Between the wall and a narrow glass shelf, there was barely an arm's length of distance, but with a closed fist, so not even an Egyptian cubit of good memory.
The toilet was right next to the shower tray, which was clogged.
The ventilation fan was nonexistent, resulting in a steam bath experience while showering, with steam then filling the room and adding to the heat.
I was less uncomfortable in the containers of FOBs in Iraq and Afghanistan; the plastic chemical toilet was more comfortable than this.
Breakfast not included, at 10 euros per person, but at least it was homemade: the manager takes care of buying fresh bread and pastries, and brings to the table a pitcher of coffee and one of milk with no time limits.
Nearby, there are restaurants, bars, various shops, and a diverse array of societal outcasts, ranging from Arab-Afro gangsta rap to a southern Italian accented thug.
Upon exiting: turning right leads to the casino and the waterfront. Turning left, after the railway bridge and the Gendarmerie headquarters, you will find an expensive but overall convenient Carrefour.
Watch your wallet and walk briskly.
140 euros a night for this dump is outrageous. It is worth at most 50. It is suitable only for transient people with a good spirit of adaptation: students, motorcyclists, mercenaries, and military personnel.

NEVER EVEN IF THEY GAVE IT TO US AGAIN.

Terrible place. Never again, not even if they gave me the stay. It had been recommended by a local friend but we arrived and found the hotel in full renovation. So all dirty, all camped out in the lobby that doesn't exist. Tiny room and not even a closed closet to put things, but only one open. There is no parking at the hotel. The worst part? We booked directly by calling and were not informed by anyone that the hotel was under renovation. Further flaw: 105€ for a place with work in progress is really an absurd price. The facility should have closed during the works and if not closed at least communicate to customers who call the renovation in progress, which they are well careful not to do.

Nice people horrible place

Definitely not what we expected given the reviews. The premises are old and not extremely clean. The corridors have a stale mixed alcool mixed smoke smell and the doors do not close properly and can easily be open from the outside. We had to ran away. On the positive side the manager Daniela has been extremely helpful and understanding, firstly we booked for the wrong dates and they found us a couple of rooms, and when we decided to leave to find another solution she agreed in giving us a refund.
