A pleasant stop during our road trip

Passing through this part of the Dordogne, we spent one night at the Maison de Marquay. We were welcomed by Patricia, who was very attentive to the travelers. We enjoyed the pool area to relax after a day of driving and sightseeing (the one in Sarlat, in this month of August with high tourist traffic, not being the most relaxing...). The comfort of the white room, simple, but impeccable in terms of value for money, met our expectations. To save us from having to go back out, Patricia prepared for us, upon request made that very morning, a quality snack (adapted to our stomachs already put to the test :-) This stop ended with a good breakfast, with fresh fruit, homemade jams, yogurts, bread, and pastries. In short, a very pleasant stop during our road trip in the great southwest.

A perfect stay (more than )

Located in the heart of a pretty village a few kilometers from Sarlat, this village house has a crazy charm! its strategic position allows to radiate throughout the region. The whole house
(rooms, dining garden and library-lounge available to guests) is furnished and decorated in the old style with a safe and refined taste. Our spacious and comfortable room (night area, living room and bathroom with bath and shower and double sink).
Part of the garden is occupied by a swimming pool where a dark coating gives it a unique and very chic dark blue color!
The owner welcomed us with extreme kindness and provided us with valuable information and advice on activities to do, places to see and restaurants. Caring, attentive and considerate, we felt "pampered" throughout the stay. Every morning, a delicious breakfast: fresh fruit (exceptional Périgord strawberries), homemade jams, pastries and fresh bread, pancake, clafoutis .. , yogurt from nearby farms... a treat!. Just like the 3 dinners based on quality local products and cooked perfectly by Patricia and her husband. The house of Marquay: a rare gem for the beauty of the house and the human warmth of its owners.
Last details: unmatched value for money and private parking in front of the house.

Super recommended

The room is huge, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bed fluffy, with good pillows, and a very spacious bathroom. A library available (in French, obviously) and different common spaces to be extremely comfortable at all times. The owner is an excellent hostess, and does not neglect any details to make you feel very well received throughout the stay.

We had an unforgettable stay in this charming guest house, I thank the owners Nathalie and Eric and the whole team for their warm welcome, kindness ..
everything was at the top really nothing to say everything is clean, the beds are comfortable...

Very nice place

A beautiful place. The room is very nice with its mix of old and modern in very good taste. A calm Olympian and a delicious breakfast cap a very pleasant stay. The welcome is perfect. We'll go back.
