Had a lovely visit and highly recommend.

Rose, Robyn, and their friend Suzanne provide the most relaxing and welcoming stay. The amenities are perfect and very comfortable, and location is excellent. Anything that we needed, we simply had to ask for.
They are the perfect guides to their area and gave us maps to use for our excursions from the house.
We would often have a debrief on the day just gone and a wine to chat about what the day ahead held in store.
Loved our stay.

The ancient guard house is just right

Terrific apartment for my vacation. Rose and Robin are wonderful owners/hosts. The apartment was perfect for my set-up and day trips to the Luberon and
Sud Luberon. Not a bed and breakfast. A solid apartment with kitchen, refrigerator, AC, and hot water in the shower. A sound and terrific apartment. I recommend for the travelers looking for a apartment. I was worried about parking..not a problem...there are a lot of free parking spots about Lourmarin within walking distance.

Wonderful place in Lourmarin!

We have spent 10 days in the Ancienne Maison des Gardes and to make it short: it was just lovely! First of all Rose & Robin are fantastic hosts who do their best to make their clients' stay as perfect as possible. The appartment was furnished tastefully with a lot of love for the details, everything fitted so well in this old and charming house, plus we had a stunning view on the chateau. Robin never got tired to give us good and helpful advices where to go, what to see, which restaurant to visit. Perfectly located just in front of the village, with walking ways starting from the house and having the vignobles around - we will always keep our stay in best memory. Thanks a lot, Rose and Robin !

Lovely stay, we hope to return

Magnificent!! Rose and Robin are
lovely hosts, very welcoming, kind and offer local recommendations. Rose left us fresh apricots after our walk. Our balcony room was so quiet and peaceful. We slept through the market set-up, it was that sound proof! The Friday market was incredible, top notch selection of food, clothes, scarves, jewelry, linens, etc. Without hesitation, stay! The pictures don’t don’t do it justice. AC kept room cool. Fun town to explore. We hope to return!

The ideal base to explore the wonderful region of the Luberon

Ideally situated at the edge of the bustling village of Lourmarin, l'Ancienne Maison des Gardes has equal measures of comfort and charm. Staying in the Studio gave us the freedom to enjoy the delights of the numerous restaurants in the village whenever we wanted but gave us the option of doing our own thing too. No crowded breakfast buffet or constant sorties for drinks and coffee, just easy going relaxation with all our needs catered for. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped and Rose had provided all the basics plus the addition of a chilled bottle of rosé and and a bowl of fruit. Tastefully furnished with a comfortable bed, good sized shower and seating and dining area in the kitchen. We also had our private area in the delightfully peaceful and shaded courtyard, surrounded by exotic plants and entertained by the acrobatics of swallows overhead. Step out of the courtyard gates to the views of green countryside, the imposing chateau, and the stars of Lourmarin, the family of donkeys. We can't wait to return and continue our exploration of this amazing part of France.
