We won't be staying here again.

We stayed here one night when the Tour de France was in town and available accommodation in the area was very limited. In fact from my searches this was the only hotel with available rooms and I now understand why.
Firstly some good points. It has a large car park and it is possible to park close to, or in front of your room. Ideal for those with mobility issues. Our room was clean and there was a small outside area if you wanted to sit and have a drink or picnic. They provide a microwave and kettle in the common area.
Now in my opinion for the bizarre. Reception is not manned and you have to telephone them to ask them to come down to the hotel. The lady who looked after us did not appear to speak English, which made the call and checking in more challenging.
In their defence they arrived quickly. After checking into our room we discovered that not unreasonably, we would like an extra pillow and two glasses. Rather then call them again; we decided to keep things simple and visit the nearby LeClerc Supermarket to buy these items.
Whilst they do provide a kettle in a common area outside the rooms, we did not have any mugs, or tea / coffee and could not be bothered going to LeClerc again, or ringing them. The microwave is in the same open area and how clean from dust in particular, both the kettle and microwave are, is open to conjecture. We can only speculate as we used neither.
Though not the hotel's fault the walk to LeClerc is across unpaved traffic islands and would not be pleasant in the dark; or in the rain. The road is a very busy main road.
Normally hotels of this type have a restaurant close by. The only one near that we found was a McDonalds. Walking in to the centre of town took us 30 minutes where there are plenty of good places to eat.
Our room was hot, very small and had paper thin walls. Thank you to our fellow guests, including a wedding party, who were all very quiet and for us noise was not an issue.
Wifi was very poor and we kept losing the signal, even though our room was near the main part of the hotel. Also there were not enough electrical sockets in our room to charge mobiles, cameras, i-pads etc.
Mention is made of a good €5 breakfast. When we went to the breakfast room at the appropriate time, everything was locked up and no one appeared to be on duty.
For those who stay here during the week, the hotel is very close (5 mins) to the Winery that produces in particular "Premier Bulle Blanquette de Limoux". They have tastings and a visit is recommended.
Needless to say we will not be staying here again.

Spacious and clean, but unfriendly staff

I booked the room via booking.com and stated that we would bring two dogs. Dogs are free of charge in this hotel, which is a major plus.
When we arrived in the early afternoon the staff was not present on location. We called and had to wait about 5 to 10 minutues for one to arrive so we could check-in. Staff did not speak English at all and refused to be 'cooperative', instead came through as quite hostile. When we made sure the staff knew we had dogs, hostility increased and they were surprised - even though I stated that in the very beginning of the booking. Staff 'asked us' to keep the dogs on the leash and not let them onto the bed, which is fine.
The room was spacious, clean and cool (although it was very hot outside). There is an entrance area with storage space, a separate bathroom with toilet and a separate large bedroom. The rooms were quite clean, but a bit dusty. The shower head was filthy and needs to be replaced, same as the head from the washing table. The bed room had a double bed and an extra bed. We flipped the mattress from the extra bed around, so that the dogs won't go on it.
On the day of the check out, we packed the bags into the car. We took the dogs for a quick walk and wanted to check out after that. We left the door open to air a little and we were not far from the room. When we came back for a last round and get ready to check out the staff already entered our room and was very angry that the bed sheets from the extra bed were disarranged (we flipped the mattress up to avoid our dogs going on it). We tried to explain but gave up eventually. Just one word. Hostility. When we asked if there was a problem, it was 'no'. I don't quite understand the fuss, even if we used that bed for us, where would have been the problem? We paid for the room! If they do not want the extra bed to be used, don't put in the room!
Anyways, we tried to keep it friendly and neat, but in the end the visit was ruined by the horrible staff. The hotel offers good value for a small price tag and is situated at the outskirts of the city. Dogs are free of charge. Just... beware of the staff.

One for the Workman

We arrived late the only place we could find, strange place kettles are outside in the open to make Tea or Coffee, the room and toilet smelt stale and of smoke, I could not use the shower it looked too dirty. The woman on reception had no interest at all in trying to be helpful. Could not recommend to travellers unless you cannot find anything else.

Cheap but still not worth the price

I stayed here for one night. I paid 39.6 euros not including breakfast and even though it's quite cheap, I didn't think it was worth it. First of all, it's not in the center of town. Granted, if you have a car, you can get there in five minutes or so but if not, it's a twenty minute walk and there isn't any public transport. There is NOTHING to see where you are as it's in the "industrial zone". The rooms are huge but very poorly heated. Luckily I went in March so it wasn't freezing outside but heaven knows how you'd heat the place during the winter months! And I noticed there was no air conditioning! Not that I needed it but I was shocked because I know very well how hot it gets in the summer! I don't know how they can get away with that.
I stayed by myself in a room that could easily hold 3-4 people and yet I just about had enough hot water for one shower! The internet connection is rubbish. It doesn't connect well in the room so you have to go outside where the connection is stronger and then go back inside for as long as the connection lasts and start over...
There are a couple of teabags and instant coffee sachets with a couple of plastic cups in the room. Sugar but no milk and if you want hot water you either get it from the hot tap or you go outside in the courtyard where there are two communal water boilers and serve yourself boiling water there!
The woman who works there isn't friendly and you just feel like you're bothering her the whole time...
I realize that you get what you pay for but the whole thing just seemed really impractical!
Obviously it's a place to sleep and it's cheap. I just think they took the "cheap" thing a little too far...
