Situated 10 km from Toulon and 12 km from Hyères, set amongst pine trees, l'Escapade is a charming seaside hotel in a calm and peaceful environment located 50 metres from the beach.

Bad things:
1. The lady called Corrinna brought us to our room and started writing down the costs/charges at check in. Everything went really quickly as she was ushering us whilst speaking french (minimum english) with her calculations. Somehow, we ended up paying her 475€ (2 nights, 2x2 breakfasts at 44€ per breakfast for two, again, suggested/pressured by her). We were supposed to pay only 350,4€ + 88€ breakfast which is equal to 438,4€. Somehow we ended up paying 475€. Our friends were also pressured into paying for breakfast.
In addition, the woman took our blanket and the cushions away while we were out to dinner on our first night (we did not know why she would enter our room and do that in the evening). I felt like being watched. Weird feeling.
Last but not least: the bed in our room has definitely passed its prime time in a couple of years. We couldn’t sleep well.

We wandered around aimlessly until we saw a young man emerging from a building and we asked him. Fortunately for us he was involved with the hotel and was able to show us to our room which was very nice. The room was in an annexe across the road from the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. The pool was fantastic and the staff were great.
The hotel is a short 3 min walk from a small pebble beach. There are two restaurants nearby within a 3-5 min walk but you need to book in advance. You need a car to go to the nearest shop and bakery.
It was very nice but there is not much to do in the town itself.

Very Relaxing and the owners are family which makes ever detail special.
