A welcome bed for the night

We found ourselves driving towards Angers and as it was getting late needed a room for the night. We drove into Chemille and were delighted to find a bed for the night and also the hotel had a restaurant offering good food.Although the part of the building with the bedrooms was very old and dark with solid wooden stairs, the bedroom was nicely decorated in blue and yellow, a sort of New England style. There was a desk with a good working light, high speed wifi Internet and a comfortable bed. Double aspect windows with outside shutters, one looking out on the nice train station building opposite. I certainly would be delighted to stay or dine in this hotel if I ever found myself in these parts again.

An adventure

What to say...!!!
A terrible adventure!
A room stayed in the 80s no sockets near the bed
On the phone before booking we were told we could eat and drink in the evening.
Result arrived at 17:00 impossible because closed in the evening
The bedding is catastrophic torticolis the next day
We could hear the neighbor of the room next door talking, snoring and even farting to tell you the state of the insulation we felt like we were in the room with our neighbors.
Only positive the room was very clean bathroom and toilet included. Fortunately cleanliness was present otherwise we would be spread out.

Terrible: the hotelier nearly killed me!

A brief summary of my almost disastrous experience of this hotel
Started badly with very poor welcome at about 4pm from hotelier's wife who was on the phone and ignored me for 5 minutes. Later the hotelier made it very clear he was not happy to be disturbed (at 4.30pm) to show me the restaurant menu, he had been resting… how was I to know? "We are not slaves you know" he said… So I decided to find another hotel. He said I must pay for the room because I had taken a shower. An argument followed then he tried to lock me in a room until I paid! I tried to force the door, he took my bag and ran into the kitchen… I followed him… he produced a 10-inch kitchen knife and threatened to kill me… at this point I paid and left, happy to be alive. I have reported this incident to the local gendarmerie.

A fuire

Salle de bain dégueulasse. Fil électrique au dessus de la douche et patronne très désagréable.
Ne perde perdez pas votre temps dans cette hotel, pour ma part je n'y remettrais plus les pieds.

Catastrophique serait flatteur!

Tout est à rafraîchir. Les chambres, l’insonorisation (nos voisins nous entendaient parler, alors que nous étions discrets) on a eu le droit à des cognements dans le mur pour stopper notre conversation...l’odeur de renfermé dans les chambres...bref...a éviter. Le petit déjeuner ( non compris dans le prix de la chambre) une horreur...croissant de la veille réchauffer au four, yaourts et produits frais exposés sans réfrigération...bref...1 café et on trace notre route! Dommage car, avec un peu d’huile de coude, l’endroit pourrait être sympa!
