Near excellent

Room 426, 2 nights.
The good:
Near airport and main national train terminal. Very modern, clean, quiet. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was superb. Beautiful lobby and pool.
The bad:
Instant coffee in room was a bit of a downer, should have a coffee machine.
Overall excellent, would stay again without hesitation

Amazing stay lovely terrace area with comfortable seating lovely staff

Wow we absolutely loved it here. Media made us so welcome. We are travelling from the UK going to Nice. This was a really convenient stop over. This place is built for convenience. Right off the main road, good gym, the food was so good. We ate dinner in the restaurant it was such a high standard for a good price. The ‘Super Bowl’ was stunning, the coffee desert unreal. Breakfast was so good, omelette to order. We will definitely be back on our return to Calais. Cannot rate this place high enough. Media made it for us. The Batty’s x

Disappointed…

We spent 5 days at the hotel to visit family living in Lyon, and what a disappointing experience…
Positive point: The rooms are clean and new, the lobby is very nice and tastefully decorated.
The parking is free!
There is never anyone at the reception. The receptionists linger in the back office and show up after a little while. Sometimes it is the bar staff who have to call them to come to the front office. It is very unpleasant to have to wait every time, and it does not seem professional at all.
The room was not cleaned every day. We are not talking about cleaning it thoroughly, but at least emptying the trash, replacing some linens, the bare minimum when staying multiple nights.
And the biggest disappointment: the pool.
We were looking forward to enjoying the swimming area given the scorching weather forecast for this weekend.
Unfortunately, it is accessible to outside hotel guests (at a lower cost, I suppose) to our right a young man with an electronic bracelet on his ankle, to our left a group of women quite tipsy recounting their escapades from the night before, in front of young people trying all the cocktails from the bar, and of course, all smoking by the pool. A rather gloomy atmosphere, especially when one is with a small baby. We stayed for 10 minutes.
Pool entries should be more selective; it tarnishes the hotel's image and prevents paying guests from enjoying it... it's quite unfortunate.

Excellent location for us travelling from the UK 🇬🇧 to Spain 🇪🇸 very clean and secure at a reasonable price The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English too My only complaint the shower head needs cleaning 🚿 because the water sprayed everywhere

Disappointing

Disappointing for a 4*. Lack of cleaning in the rooms, the room staff do not respond to the greetings of guests.
In short, prefer Mercury to a few meters.
