A warm and welcoming stay with an unforgettable view of the Cirque de Gavarnie

I had a wonderful stay at Le Relais des Cimes, and what impressed me most was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were genuinely welcoming and helpful, which made me feel very comfortable throughout my stay.
The location is fantastic. From my room, I could look directly towards the magnificent Cirque de Gavarnie — waking up to that view was truly unforgettable. It is difficult to imagine a better setting for experiencing Gavarnie.
The hotel is also very conveniently located in the village, with restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. At the same time, it is perfectly positioned for exploring the Cirque. The walking route from the hotel towards the Cirque de Gavarnie and Hôtel du Cirque is straightforward and easy to follow, so you can simply leave the hotel and start enjoying the spectacular scenery.
What made my stay particularly memorable, however, was the kindness of the staff when an unexpected situation occurred. Due to severe weather and a road closure, transportation from Gavarnie was disrupted and I was unable to leave as originally planned. The staff were extremely understanding, flexible and reassuring, and helped make a stressful situation much easier. Experiences like this show the true character of a hotel.
Between the breathtaking view, excellent location and, above all, the genuinely warm hospitality, Le Relais des Cimes became one of the most memorable places I stayed during my trip.

TO RUN HORRIBLE

For starters, there was mold in the bathrooms, the tiles were broken, risk of cut, food reheat on reheat as frozen dishes it was horrible the staff is horrible

Disappointing for the price

Minimalist room and austere dormitory style no night table no TV bathroom veilotte clean you have to make your bed and no heating at night at 100th lanuit c is a bad value for money
Only advantage its location and pleasant staff and decent breakfast

Super place Pension very nice family room 5 beds for 130 euros with bathroom and toilet nothing wrong nickel for family stay Super friendly personal welcome Breakfast is hearty croissant and fresh baked bread morning toast and buffet at will I strongly advise

Disappointed

“I was really disappointed with the place it’s not called an Inn but a school holiday camp. We have to make our beds on arrival and undo it at Check-out and they are far from comfortable and very noisy. Very poorly insulated you can hear everything going on in the other rooms. Frankly, this place has been in its juices since the 1970s... I'll never come back.
The hotel group has problems to worry about.

Merci pour votre retour. Nous sommes désolés d'apprendre que votre séjour n'a pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.
Nous ne sommes effectivement pas un hôtel mais plutôt une auberge de passage pour les randonneurs.
Effectivement, nous avons fait le choix de fournir des kits de draps à l'arrivée. Les lits sont donc "non faits" , mais c'est une information qui est donné en amont, et donc sans surprise le jour de votre arrivée.
Nous prenons vos remarques concernant la literie et nous excusons pour le désagrément.
Le bâtiment n'est effectivement pas récent, mais correspond tout à fait aux photos et à nos descriptifs sur les différents sites sur lesquels nous sommes présent.
