The Ibis Styles Colmar Centre hotel is set an 18th-century brewery in the historic centre, just 200 metres from the Gothic St Martin's Church. It has a 24-hour reception.

The hotel was conveniently located near many sites in Colmar. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious! Having a water refill station in the lobby was greatly appreciated. We had a triple room for 3 women and there was ample space for each of us. Air conditioning was a gift as temps were in the 90s. The bar was cozy, though the late night staff was not experienced in bartending. Beds were comfy and the shower was full sized with tub. Would definitely recommend this one for a stay in Colmar!

Pros:
Location: Good, easily walkable to Colmar centre and Petite Venice (10 to 15 minutes flat walk)
Parking on site: We booked one of the four open air spaces as we had roof top box. Reserved as requested. Quite a tight fit but do-able. Expensive extra.
Noone on reception on arrival but staff member pleasant when she eventually did arrive.
Cons:
Felt very let down by this hotel booking. Touring round France and Switzerland, used 9 different hotels. This was by far the worst yet cost the most.
Expensive for one night and breakfast only. No restaurant.
Room not ready at check in time. Requested use of toilet on arrival to be told no public toilets as refurbishment going on. Led through back room to use staff toilet walking through corridor with active refurbishment going on.
Room ready 1.5 hours after check in time despite us realising the hotel was barely open. Could see nearly all rooms were unoccupied, bare, refurbishments etc - so why were our rooms late?
Rooms: Both rooms were budget at best. Dirty and old doors and windows. New decor inside but dark and unpleasant. Just horrible and uninviting. Air con worked but made rooms smell very weird.
No tea or coffee facilities. Offered use of hotel machine but would have to go outside across courtyard to access hotel bearing in mind dressed for bed. Pastries available were left uncovered.
Hotel: no atmosphere or ambience. We were given rooms outside so felt detached from hotel itself although it was clearly strategic as decorating.
Breakfast: below par, flies on food. Cooked food was bacon and boiled egg. No sliced bread despite a toaster.
Each of the glass drinks jugs had chips in the spout. No proper cups.
Rear door opened to courtyard and breakfast seating with white vans and works going on. Not pleasant to sit out.
An old car was parked in front of the underground hotel parking so clearly not in use and backs up theory barely any guests.
No mention of refurbishment on website and recently booked so info should be up to date. Feel ripped off.
Wanted to complain but went back into hotel three times and again noone on reception. Same again in the morning.
We gave up and left.
First time in an Ibis. Last time in an Ibis. Feel let down by All Accor as we booked via their app. We have used their other partnership hotels many times successfully so trusted the brand.

Soulless hotel.
I found the hotel cold and uncomfortable.
Family trip, two rooms separated by stairs and a shared bathroom.
-Excellent location, a few steps from the historic center and across from a park, quiet area.
-Restored building with little light, sober and somewhat enclosed; it gave me more of a feeling of a monastery or retreat than a vacation spot.
-Staff very distant; if they could, they ignored you, polite and little more.
-Very comfortable mattresses.
-Sufficient space, with the exception of the bathroom, which was outdated and very small, especially the stall for the toilet.
-Cleaning very fair; in the bathroom, there were black areas in the tile grout.
Breakfast variety is fair; the possibility of making your own fresh orange juice stands out.
Parking: you can park in front of the building by paying 29 euros, there are only 4 spaces, or a partner parking lot across the street for 15 euros.

Wonderful hotel in Colmar
Beautiful, clean hotel in the city center. We truly felt pampered. Room, spacious and welcoming. Upon arrival, they gave us a city map and a gadget for our son. The hotel is just a few steps from the center, in front of a beautiful square with the largest playground we have ever seen in Alsace. The breakfast was really amazing!!
Really impressive. I recommend it, and if we ever return to Colmar, we will book our stay here again.
